I had the opportunity to go to Live Oak a year ago to watch their big event in March. The singles were really fun, the 4-in-hands were awesome beyond belief. Watched Chester Weber get his two leaders on opposite sides of a big post; he couldn't really back up because he was right at the top of a short steep hill and somehow he talked those horses back to where they belonged. Incredible skill and trust. Not to mention the fact that the driver needs a fair amount of courage!!
Now THIS video is much better than THAT other one that featured Mrs. Shrieker. Very impressive and exciting. But imagine how the RARAs would react to Obstacle Dirving- good thing it doesn't take place in NYC's Central Park.
Although I bet the way some Taxi drivers, pedicabs and other motorists around there drive, the NYC carriage dirvers may have a claim to being obstical course drivers as well, just at a much slower pace.
