Another happy update!!
This mare (now named Sylvie) was confirmed pregnant on Valentine's Day. She just had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl on Sunday night, named Terra because she was born on Earth Day =)
This baby is just too cute not to share with everyone, and Sylvie is being a wonderful momma bear.

Did you ever find out more about the mare's history ? Do you know who the daddy of the baby is ?

She and her foal are the lucky ones. Too many horses have gone to slaughter.
Great of everyone who worked to save her and her other foal.
From 2006 to 2012. A lucky mare.

The mare's TB dam (Sensationalbobjake) was purchased in foal by a private breeding farm in Oregon to produce racing Quarter horses. Sylvie didn't have much purpose on that farm but was kept because the mother of the farm owner loved her.
Sadly, the mother passed away over a year ago, and Sylvie had 2 accidental pregnancies with a paint stallion on the property. She was sent to auction due to her 'colorful' personality (she is a doll) in the shape that was reported in July. Crysta (the women who rescued her at auction) showed me a picture from that day, and I was horrified! I can't believe she held on to this pregnancy.
The baby is a total ham, and is loving all the visitors and photoshoots. She is quite the exhibitionist

What a great ending! And a neat baby too. So happy to hear sometimes things work out for the better (doubting that today on my end)....

Every once in a while, a thread comes along that renews my faith in humanity.
This is such a thread.
What a beautiful thing everyone involved did for this lovely mare and her foal.
You don't have to be good to start, but you do have to start to be good.
