I think I'd get lost in all the obstacles...they looked so confusing!
Cool video!

you would not get lost. there is a reason why CDEs are 3 days and usually people arrive 2 days prior. To WALK the hazards, and to walk them and over and over again . you could get it. just takes practice.

Totally fun! I've gotten to gator a couple of times for a friend that has a team of Fjords. Most exciting. I turned the sound off because the driver and gator yelled a lot. My friend is quiet, she says "Come" or "Get" and will cluck for more speed, but she doesn't constantly make noise.

Wow! I was exhausted after the first obstacle!
It's not about the color of the ribbon but the quality of the ride. Having said that, I'd like the blue one please!

Notice too that the driver canters through the obstacles because those are on a separate timer. Once they exit through the flags she let her horse/pony trot a bit to get it wind back. The speed makes the obstacles exciting to watch when done well!

you are only allowed to canter in the hazards. You are allowed 5 strides out of the timers and 5 strides in before the hazards, training level is not allowed to canter at all.

We were there and all I can say is what a venue! The 4-in- hands doing the course was amazing! If you get a chance to go-do it. Nothing like the pony cart I drove as a kid. I have so much respect for these guys. Spectacular horses! What fun.

Actually Prelim, Intermediate and Advanced/FEI are any pace in sections A and E. Only training must trot only. Back in the day you were required to trot outside the obstacles, but its any pace now.
Limiting factor is you do get points for coming in more than 3 minutes before the time allowed.
