2 Horses stolen 1/17/11 from VA, spread the word!!
crossposting from HJ forum. I know Ann and these horses have been treated like gold their whole life. Thought I'd post here since April is a mare (Rio Grande) and in case someone tried to sell her as a broodie. PLEASE get the word out so they can come home!!!

This is one of our own folks. Ann posts here as Monalisa - and we've been getting updates on the 4yo RioGrande mare since she was born.
I just can't figure out the whole thing. Ann is 2 miles from me, and you have to know where you are going to get here. You don't just drive by a busy road and say - "Look at the pretty horses, let's take them."
It's also not like this area is H/J central. What would be the point of taking them? To go to an auction? Why?
I feel so helpless. I hope they just jumped out and will be found soon.

I hope they just got loose and will be found very soon. This is really heartbreaking.

Jingling like mad for a good outcome. I am so very sorry for what Ann must be going through. It is terrible.

Jingling from NC! I can't imagine the horror and hopefully they are found safe very quickly.

Very sad. I hope that they are found soon.
And having driven to ahf's place, I can attest to the fact that there are a lot of non-main roads with curves on them. Not like a main thoroughfare. Very weird!

Thinking about how I would feel if my horses disappeared makes me want to ___ my lunch.
Jingling like mad for a good outcome and quick end to this!

Wow - that is an amazing story! I shudder to think what would have happened if she had not re-checked her property! So thankful they were found!

I'm sure they were very tired of being "cooped up"! But it's great news that they are safe! I hope they had egg on their faces! LOL!

Thank God, I am so happy for their owner. It scares the heck out of me to hear missing horse stories. Great that they are safe.

You know she had to be looking in there wondering how the fajesus they not only got in there but were content to stay in there.

If they didn't have a little "help" getting in.
ETA - I am NOT normally the kind of person who sees a grassy knoll in every hill - but this thing is just too strange.

Sounds a little suspicious to me still, but glad they were found safe.

How embarrassing. Sounds like someone had a little too much to drink or took some ambien or something and couldn't remember where she'd tucked her horses away. Sounds like the cops knew what they were saying with their initial assessment.
