coming 4 yo 16'2 Chestnut Hanoverian Gelding in Colorado
Incredibly sweet, handsome Hanoverian gelding is looking for a good home. I got this horse thru this forum last year and am now using it find him his forever home. The ONLY reason that he is up for adoption is that I have recently had knee surgery, have 2 rescued neuro horses, an older semi-retired horse plus an OTTB gelding that needs help and all of this is in addition to a full time job and a family. Due to my surgery, my other high-needs horses, this poor gelding has been put on the back burner.
This gelding has not been started. No lungeing, nothing undersaddle. However, he is super quiet for bathing, clipping, trailer, farrier, vet.
What he wants: a full time person of his own. Please, please do not contact me if you are looking for a resale project. I want a forever, loving, long term home.
What he needs: OCD surgery. I have recent films that show chips only - no lesions. Excellent candidate for surgery. Is not lame - however the surgery needs to be performed prior to starting any work to protect his future soundness.
Making sure this fabulous horse has a great home is the most important thing to me. I am going to be very, very picky.... If you want more info, please PM me and I will send more additional details, video clips, etc.

Thanks FatPalomino!!
Your real life FatPalomino has decided to become the ruler of his paddock and the water tank. He does not want to share!

Did you have him listed on Dreamhorse for a while (or still??)???
If it's the same....he is GORGEOUS. I've sent this thread to a friend in CO.
I'd be interested in him, but wouldn't be a forever home..just resale (and I completely respect your need for forever home...I have 5 lifers here)

Yep - he is/has been on dreamhorse. I am truly scared to say "free" there. Thanks for passing along the info - I really appreciate it.

Wow!
I know everyone says they wish they could, but I sincerely WISH I could! He sounds like a fantastic project horse and I love love to start horses undersaddle.
I'm moving to Spain for a year in August so there's no way I can take him now and promise him the forever home he deserves. poo!
I'm going to post this to all my PC contacts here and let them know about him though!

Why the forever home or no giveaway clause? If he is as fabulous as you say he is and someone is willing to take on a horse with OCD, pay for the surgery, rehab him, and train him well; then why not let them sell him? Once he is sold he can then find a "forever" home?

I hope he has a new home!
I'd be interested... in like 6 months. We're building the barn in the next month, then I'd have to have shipping/vet money to ensure he could be properly cared for!
But I hope he finds the right home soon, if he hasn't already!
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

Did you find a home for him? If not, contact Lindsay at LW Equestrian in Littleton. She is an eq/h/j trainer and is wonderful; she has many nice clients

But it says "placed" and there is a later post where someone is talking about a road trip.
I hope it works out for him.
