The Vet was here a couple of hours working on her...only time will tell. She needs lots of prayers and jingles!!!

With heavy heart and tear fulled eyes, just wanted to update you she is gone over the rainbow bridge. I gave her the last gift of life and helped her over the bridge..I did not want her to suffer and it was obvious we had done all that could be done. I now have her beautiful colt looking for mama and milk!!! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif I've sent and e-mail to Len and if anyone has a nurse mare in the VA area, please let me know. I will have to try one of my mares in a few hours until the feed stores open at 12 noon being a Sunday. She was down and in so much pain for hours and the meds were no longer working for the pain...she still jumped up at 4:30 AM and nursed him for 15 minutes and then stood over him while he slept and then once he nodded off, she laid down beside him, until my Vet got here to put her down. My Vet had as many tears as I did as she put her to sleep. She's resting now and going to join her best girlfriend Elvir who I had to put down last year and her son Pooh Bear who was put down last year too!!! It is hard when they all start getting old on you!!!
For nurse mares my number is 540-668-9095

Oh Bridget, this just breaks my heart. I know how much Issue meant to you, and the fact that she was able to give you so many foals and be such a great mom is a testament to the wonderful care she received.
I'm so sorry, my heart breaks for you. Delilah is up there with her too, waiting with Elvir and Pooh to welcome her.
I hope you are able to find a nurse mare, and know that colt is very VERY lucky to have you. I'm so very sorry, gosh this is just plain aweful.
Please feel free to call me or e-mail me if you need/want anything.

Oh Bridget,
I am so so sorry for you. Words can not express the pain you must be feeling.
She was an incredible mare who lives on through her many wonderful offspring.
God speed Issue.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

So sorry. http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/no.gif. At least she had a lovely healthy colt. Too bad it was not the keeper filly you wanted so much from her though.

I am so so sorry, Bridget. I can't even imagine how much it hurts to lose a mare you have loved so long so tragically. Many jingles for her new colt... and many hugs for you.
You are in my thoughts...
