Default Need help from the Alberta riders

About a year ago I moved out to Montana from New England and haven't done a whole lot since so I still don't have any connections out this way. I have a very nice warmblood mare that will be coming home from a lease (she has been in Connecticut) and I need to keep her showing once she's out here with me. My preference would be to get her sold or leased, but in the meantime I think what I would like to do is find a place that I can keep her across the border so that I can get her to some shows on a regular basis. I am in northern Montana so Canada is a much closer venue for me than Colorado. Ideally I would like to find a barn that might have a rider to half lease her since I will not be able to ride daily. Of course my problem is that I need to keep budget in mind, I am not in a position to send this horse off on an expensive sales or training board situation at the moment.

I know this is a long shot, but can anyone suggest any trainers or barns that might be a good place to start? I have a place for her near where I live so I could start here, but I thought I would get a jump on things and see what's out there.

Not in Alberta right now mind you but i might be able to point you in the right direction. Not sure how far you are willing to send her and not sure what your budget or what these barns charge but here are so stables.

    Medicine Hat:
    Country Haven Stables (http://www.countryhavenstables.ca/home.htm)

    Calgary:
    Teesdale Riding School (http://www.teesdaleridingschool.com/index.htm)
Rocky Mountain Show jumping - Grand Prix rider John Anderson's farm(http://www.rmshowjumping.com/index.html)

Willow Grove Stables (http://www.willowgrovestables.com/index.htm) Highly recommend this farm!!

Those are a few but here is a list complete with phone numbers of everything in Alberta.

You might be able to phone Spruce Meadows and see who they recommend as well. But i'm sure someone else here has ideas as well.

Hope that helps.. yell if you need more info.
