Quarterback Foals - Ammy Friendly?
I'm looking at a Quarterback/Rubenstein filly.
While I want a lovely horse capable of the upper levels, I also want something to hack down the road and through the woods and - maybe even jump a jump or two.
I am a capable rider, but not professional level.
I want something super sane.
Would a Quarterback foal fit this bill?

I have two, one a year old and one a weanling. Both from the same mare who is herself quiet and easy....fwiw both of them are very friendly, easy going and brave. On the other hand, it is often really hard to tell much about how they will under saddle until you put them under saddle.
What is the mare like?

A friend in Germany has one just started under saddle this year. He says she is very quiet and easy, and is on the verge of being sold to an amateur lady. I believe the dam is by Rohdiamant.

His name is Quaterback, but I'm sure what all know who the OP meant.

The '08 Quaterback colt I bred was just started undersaddle by his professional owner. Very quiet, WTC on a loose rein in large outdoor in five rides. She put 14 rides on him, then back out for the winter. Quantum Leap is still a stallion and will be presented at the Hanoverian approvals next year. He is out of my Baryshnikov/Raphael mare Bel Etrice, who is one of the most sensible gals on earth

Thanks for the info so far.
Unless I missread it, he's listed as "Quarterback" on the Yancy Farms site and I figured they'd know.
Can someone confirm the name?

I have seen several under saddle (3 year olds) and they seemed quiet for sure. Each horse is different though and you cant judge foals really until under saddle how they are to ride!
