Anybody ever trained or did a clinic with Nelson "Neco" Pessoa?
Nelson Pessoa seems to be flying to Buenos Aires, Argentina in the beggining of March and will give a clinic. I wanted to know what was his main enfasis during a clinic (or in training) and what to expect. Any GM type quirks?
Anybody know if there is any info on his training online or in some book?
Thanks,
V

I don't know about any quirks, but it wouldn't matter to me. The chance to ride with such a legend, and as well respected as he is, would trump ANY quirks he might have. This man was the finest rider of his time, and has continued to be inflential through his son and other students. Do it.

Surely doing it but just wanted a heads up on what he stresses, so I can practice it before the clinic...call it healthy cheating...

From what I have seen (both on his and Rodrigo's tapes and their riding in real life) they do a lot of flat work (duh). They both seem to favor a sort of shoulder-in on the circle. On this video you can see it performed in the beginning:

So, horse has to be adjustable and laterally flexible.
Have a great time. Doesn't get any better than Nelson.
