Those fine southern gents from Lil Rock, Robby Johnson and Robert, are venturing back for a second Canadianization session. Yet another opportunity to teach them to drawl, 'aboot', and correct their version of 'Oh Canada' - no, Robby, it's not, 'we stand on guard for y'all'. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif
So, preliminary details.
Saturday June 28, time TBD
Hiro on King
Raw fish and green mustard to be followed by, oh, dancing, carousing, and whatever else I can talk Robby into doing against his better judgement.

Just as long as I don't smoke cigarettes. It's been almost 5 months now, and last night I had the dream that I smoked and even then I was choking like an asthmatic!
But raw fish and green stuff = muy delicioso! And it's Gay Pride Toronto so the drama potential is unlimited.
Come and be a silent observer with us! Heidi and I had a splendid time last year with Sabra and Robert. In fact, we were rocking the house at Five. Or was it Fly?

Heidi -- this time, make sure the assimilation is complete (including beady eyes and flapping heads!). http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif
Robby -- will you be visiting Ti Amo on this trip?

As if the drama quotient wouldn't be high enough between a moody Korean beaatsch and a gay Southern man with blindingly white teeth! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif Lawdie, it'll be like walking into Frederic Fekkai and asking for a mullet.

As we'd say in Alabama, "is a frog's ass watertight?"
Actually, we will be with Fred from Tuesday - Saturday morning and I will be spending every minute of spare time in the barn with Ti Amo!
I cannot wait! We had such a fabulous time last year, what with the TO cabbie who was a bloody cult member. It was whack, but in a good whack sort of way.
Opti-Essence, here I come! I must get the teeth back up to blindingly white!

are you going to the Pride Dance Robby??? I always hear fantastic things about it!! I bet Heidi would go in a flash! She would have no problems finding something outrageous to wear http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_razz.gif
It will be so special for you to see Ti Amo in person again won't it? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

Hello, Jair dear. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif
Robby will only truly be Canadianized when he is spotted in public wearing a plaid flannel shirt and work boots, like a certain rock boy we know and loff. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

One of the classic Jair and Robby threads. Why isn't it in the "Favorites" forum?!?
Alice Made Me Do It - A Tack Shopping Story
For those of you who love or hate Willem, please note this thread markss the first appearance of a talking horse on these boards, the Lovely Alice. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif
I moved the thread to Favorites, I hope I just switched the link to there! SoEasy

Jair,
Which dance are you talking about? We are so up for something like that, but the schedule just lists some sort of Leather Ball and, well, Heidi and I are fresh out.
I was thinking more about wearing a pair of button-fly vintage 501's that are a little shredded at the bottom with a pair of slides and a v-neck t-shirt. Simple but like, simply simple. Like, "it's simple but it's fabulously simple. So there."
Last year the Canada trip was so nice (if only because of the reprieve in weather!) and I'm really excited about it this year too.
I may be doing some bathroom modifications for Fred. We will totally document Butch Robby ripping out her vanity and putting in a new one.

that is simple but fab! You're the one that got me hooked on slides!!
There is a big offical Pride Dance during Toronto Gay Pride - I think its on the thursday or Friday night? I saw an add for it in our gay rag awhile back. We have a big pride ball here too which is fab, but I think the TO one is even bigger!

Yes, please return my leather bustier, Jair. You know, the thought of your constricting neck is vaguely exciting. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_razz.gif
Would bet you'd be a hit were you to show up in your chaps and spurs, Robby.

I'm sure it is Heidi http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif but hang on, why did you have a bustier?? Isn't that an oxymoron? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif
Robby would have a date every day for the rest of his life if he showed up in his chaps!!! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif

Jair in a suit and tie every day... I must contemplate this travesty. What kind of self-respecting geologist wears a suit and tie? Can't you at least find a corporate job where they have business casual? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif
