Default Dressage/trail Horses 1/2 -full lease - Chicago area north

I have more horses then I can/want to ride everyday. Sane, sweet, nice to be around, some very competitive dressage. Training to PSG, some are excellent on trails as well. Farm offers indoor/outdoor, easy access to trails. Very private quiet facility. Come relax and enjoy
Located near I94 so super easy to get to.
Horses should be trained in such a way that they not only love their riders, but look forward to the time they are with them.

Default Horseless Rider in DC - Female, 40s, looking to start riding again

    Hi,

I am in my early 40s, live/work in NW DC, 5'7" 160 lbs (although I am trying to work on that!). Rode Saddlebreds as a child/teenager, taken hunt seat lessons on/off, and rode western on vacations. I am a beginner but have very soft hands and quiet legs.

I want to take lessons, I don't think I will be interested in showing, I'd like to find a barn where I could eventually board. I would like to lease or ride to make sure I am committed, then I would like to adopt (preferably) or buy.

I've taken a few lessons at Rock Creek, but with no boarding I don't think it is a long term option. I am just starting to investigate barns in Maryland (I think VA is too tough of a commute) as well as rescue organizations.

Even if you don't have a riderless horse, if you have any advice, I would definitely appreciate it! I can be reached at kellyessman (at) gmail dot com.

    Thanks!

Default Young Rider in AL Needs H/J/Event Packer

I'm posting this for a young friend who has just had to retire her 20-something guy. She is looking for a new horse but her parents can't afford going prices in this area for a been-there-done-that horse who can help teach her jumping.

So I'm looking for a horse she could ride, maybe lesson on, get some more experience O/F on a horse who can teach her something.

He's very happy there.

Just looking for someone who might want a horse to hack around. I need someone with experience as he can get hot and a little spooky at times. He's got his quirks, but is a pretty good boy and well broke despite being out of shape. I showed him in the Childrens then Low A/O jumpers before stopping showing about 4 years ago. I've owned him since he was 3.

He's a fun horse to ride and you wouldn't need to pay me anything - maybe just chip in on grain every once in awhile.

Send me a PM if you're interested - thanks!

    Hello,

I'm a horseless rider that is located in South Central Massachusetts near Worcester. I'm looking for some riding time on a horse that needs exercise. I'm 33, and have been riding for 20 years. My main concentration is dressage, I've worked with Melanie Tenney, Denny Emerson, Lendon Gray and ridden at Kathy Connelly's barn. I also hold British Horse Society qualifications. I have been out of the equine scene for about 8 years due to family commitments.

I would be happy to bring your horse back into condition, whilst getting myself back into condition Please send me an email if we sound like we could be a good fit together.

Default Horseless Rider in Tallahassee, FL

I just sold my OTTB, so I have nothing to do I don't have a lot of time to commit to a set schedule, or training rides, but I would love to be able to come out and ride every once in a while. Or if you need an extra buddy to ride with! I have ridden for 15 years, have done eventing, dressage, jumpers. Have experience with green and hard-to-ride types. PM if you have someone I can come play around with!

    Default Madison, WI- 2 options

10 year old forward but sensible Rocky Mtn horse. (Gaited) Near trails. Fun good ride for an intermediate rider.

Coming 2 year old needs work on the ground, line driving, etc Very open to someone just coming to play with him and pay attention to him.

Both are friendly, no vices, the colt obviously needs some quiet calm handling but would be a perfect project for someone who wants to spend time brushing and playing.

Default Horseless rider in Akron, OH

I am an adult rider and have been riding for 3+ years now, mainly english and am starting in dressage. I am looking for a horse who needs someone to exercise and give him lots of scratches. I have mainly ridden Saddlebreds, and love them but would be willing to try other breeds, drafts, arabians, morgans. I would also be looking to lease if that is something you are looking for as well. I am located in the Akron, OH area, very near to Fairlawn.

Default Riderless Horse in Hillsborough, NC

I have a 15hh paint mare who is currently riderless. I have another horse and I simply don't have time for two. I would really like to free lease her to someone. Basically, use of the horse is free, but you take care of board and her feet. She is sound barefoot and only requires trims. Her background is eventing, but could be a jumper IMO. She'll jump anything and really doesn't have a spook in her. Please PM me if you are interested!

Default Horseless Rider in Durango, Colorado

I'm looking for anyone who may have a horse that needs some exercising and love. I rode for 10 years and lessoned throughout the entire time I rode. I mostly rode English, specifically interested in hunter/jumper. I'm 5' 1'' but I have ridden large horses before (17hh being my biggest). I've spent lots of time around horses, so I'm comfortable with grooming, feeding, bathing etc (horse basics). I'm now in college and looking to get back into riding as I have not been riding for several years. Please let me know if you have a riderless horse or might know someone else who does.

Default Free ride in Midland/Warrenton VA, possible half lease later.

My mare is a 22YO, 14 3, QH/Morab cross. We recently moved to VA. She is a bomb proof, kid broke, trail riding goddess. Moves out but is very under control. Has a lot of go in her.

Current farm has lots of fields, roads, and trails. Due to distance from my home, I'm unable to be out there daily. She would be best if she could stay in more regular work.

I would be interested in finding someone who might like to ride a couple of days per week and be another set of eyes/ears for me at the barn. (no charge--would appreciate the help!)

There is a strong possibility that I will be moving her to a place with more amenities in the next few months. At that time, I may do a true half lease to defray costs, but it's all up in the air right now.

Please email at syoung78@gmail.com if interested.
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.

Might be a reason, never an excuse...

Default Horseless Rider in North Atlanta

Looking for anything to ride in North Atlanta, within 30-40 minutes of Perimeter Mall. I used to train greens but am getting back into things. I ride 3'3" hunter eq but would be interested in a dressage horse as well. I know basic first aid and used to be a professional groom for A and AA hunter jumper shows.

Default Riderless Horse in Wilton, CA (South Sac area) zip code 95693

My horse currently lives on my parents' property while I'm out East with my husband for the next year and a half. My mom has a WB and doesn't have time to ride both.

My horse is a 15 year old, 16 hh TB gelding. He is very sweet and calm. He has been shown hunters, jumpers, and dressage. I'm looking for an experienced adult who is wanting something to ride. My parents have a nice arena with a few jumps. He is available to be ridden Mon-Sat.

PM me if you are interested for more details!

I prefer the leaser to be able to w/t/c comfortably. Lease includes 1/2 board, farrier, feed, and insurance.
We could all take a lesson from crayons some are sharp, some are beautiful, some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they still learn to live in the same box. Unknown.

Default Riderless Horse in Waco, TX

My 20 year old gelding is boarded in Waco and would love somebody to love on him! I am having knee surgery soon and while I'll be in Waco again in January I won't be able to ride for quite a while. Even then, I'm a busy college student and can't get out as much as I'd like to if someone is willing to take great care of my boy I will offer a free half lease! (As in, I will pay for everything as long as you take good care of him) He's a semi-retired jumper and would be fine for almost anyone to flat and do small jumps with depending on experience. If you're in the Waco area or know of anyone send me a PM! I'm very flexible and willing to consider other options, too, depending on the circumstances.
