    Default Horseless Rider SE TENESSEE

Experienced Hunter/Jumper rider looking for ride time. Have shown on a B circuit and placed consistently, competed in state level Medal Finals, etc. I was a working student for six years and have ridden all types of horses. Most recently my riding has been focused on breaking young horses and bringing along very green ones. Completely open to all types of horses, and situations.

Default Horseless rider in Tucson, AZ

I am a 27 year old former eventer/pony clubber (C3 level) looking for a horse to ride in Tucson, AZ. I had to give up my horse in 2008 to attend grad school, and am still going through withdrawl! I competed successfully at the novice level, and was schooling at the training level. I have a solid, competent riding background, sufficient knowledge of horse care, and am looking for any opportunity to get on a horse! I am willing to exchange stall-cleaning, tack cleaning, or other barn chores for rides. If you have any opportunities please email me at shale16@gmail.com. Thank you!

Default Riderless Horse in 5-College MA area

I have a lovely, green 4yo TB mare who will be moving to a barn with an indoor for the cooler months and could really benefit from some extra riding...I'm in my last year at school and just don't have enough time!

She's a sweetheart, completely sound, I have a truck and trailer and am completely open to some showing opportunities. I am gearing her towards eventing, but she is young and athletic and can go in any direction you'd like. Bombproof on trails with a buddy, safe and reasonable when alone.

Send me a PM if you're interested, I don't check this thread often but my PMs get bounced to my email!

Also, I do have a 15 yo QH gelding who is terribly out of shape right now but is a solid 1st level horse when in work, and can probably go farther than that if you put the effort in. He's got a touch more difficult personality than my mare so will be harder to find a rider for, but I am also open to someone riding him if they're looking for a horse with more experience.

Both are located in the Amherst area, close to UMass/Smith/Mt. Holyoke/Hampshire/Amherst. Open to a college student, or someone older!

Default Horseless Rider - Columbus, OH

After a finance-induced hiatus (starting May 2011), I am now possibly in a position to be able to start riding again.

I'm a graduate student at OSU in Columbus and my class schedule, finances, and work schedule are making it possible for me to seriously look at riding again. I grew up riding H/J on the TBs (would love to get back to them), and before the break I was riding regularly at a farm in Johnstown - there I was doing 2'6"-3' confidently in lessons and showed a few times in the 2'6" hunters. I'd return to the barn if I could but I moved and the drive is just too much.

An ideal location would be the Hilliard/Dublin area, and maybe up into Plain City or Marysville. I could afford a reasonable half-lease price, and I'm fairly willing to hop on anything (green to trained horse just needing exercise). I also enjoy just trail riding (would love to do a hunter pace sometime) and like to dote on the equines as well

If you know of an opportunity or have one available, PM or email me at schunemann.2@osu.edu , I'd really appreciate it!

Default Three riderless horses in Mount Airy, MD

I have three horses who literally need boot camp. All have enormous talent, but need to be ridden frequently. I just had a baby, so I can't put the time into them that I'd like to. Could be relocated as a free lease to the right situation. They really just need to be ridden consistently... I'm looking for someone who is very dedicated and a good rider.

13 year old 14.3 H welsh mare. Amazing jumper. Great cross-country. Really fun to ride. Great on trails. Fast.

13 year old 13.2 H POA. Loves to jump but can be spooky. Needs a quiet rider, but would excel in pony jumpers. Really special horse.

4 year old homebred TB 15.2 H. Needs to be hacked. I am looking for someone who would just like to trail ride and play in the field with her. She is broke walk trot canter, but a little sour in the ring.

    Pics available!

Default Semi-horseless rider east of Columbus, OH

Due to life circumstances, I will probably need to step down my riding in the coming months and through the winter/early spring. My horse would be fine with time off, but I would consider sharing with the right rider.

11-year-old 15.2hh TB gelding, evented successfully at Novice, correct dressage flatwork with no gadgets, and a willing/confident jumper. Goes in a KK eggbutt snaffle, including over fences and in the hunt field. Hacks out alone or in company, good ground manners, sound and healthy. Perfect for an intermediate or advanced rider. Will consider advanced beginners on a case-by-case basis.

Boarded in Pataskala, 35-40 minutes east of OSU or downtown Columbus. Facility has several large open meadows reserved for riding, a small but serviceable indoor arena, and some trail access. Horse must stay at current barn.

Preference given to riders who are interested in working with the in-house trainer (a specialist in dressage and foxhunting, but she's also getting back into lower-level eventing). PM me or email jlm4dg at gmail dot com.

    Default Horseless in Mobile, AL

    Hello,

I am 21. Been involved with hunter jumpers since I was 5 but grew up in a horsey family. Yes, I do own 2 oldenburgs like my signature says but they are back in my home state of Michigan with family.

To be honest, I am not in the best riding shape since it's been 2 years since I had a formal riding or jumping lesson and the last time I rode was in late June.

I am not too picky as any ride thrown my way is a gift to me. I am looking for some saddle time mostly and a chance to be around horses again.

PM me if you have any questions.

    Default 6.5 y/o ASB, N. GA, E. TN

Anybody need a horse to ride this fall?

Quattro needs someone to leg him up, since it's looking like I am out of commission for the foreseeable future. ASB gelding, 15.3 & some change, very well trained for the English disciplines but very little trail experience. Sensible, cute, chromey & smooth-gaited. I'm in Calhoun, GA but would let him go to a trainer barn or an experienced jr. or ammy anywhere in North Georgia or East/Middle Tennessee. PM me if interested.

Default Horseless rider - Southern Illinois (Carbondale)

I recently moved to Southern Illinois and am a horseless rider!

I grew up eventing on the West Coast and have experience in eventing, dressage, hunters/jumpers and have even done a bit or riding on the racetrack.

I'm a smallish adult (5' 4'' and ~120 pounds) so fit well on anything from medium ponies to draft crosses. I'm pretty open minded in terms of what the ideal riding opportunity would entail. I'm comfortable on greenies or those that need some reschooling and would be happy to provide references from folks who know my horsemanship and riding skills well.

Default Horseless Rider in Central/Upstate NY

I'm a horseless rider in Ithaca, NY. For the last 4 years, I've been riding casually for a sporthorse and pony breeder in the area and prior to that I ran my own lesson program in California as well as worked for various hunter/jumper trainers in the area. I have taken some time off to have a baby and am now looking for a horse to work with. I've had dressage, h/j experience and done a little hunter pacing. I'm also experienced with green horses and "projects". I'm really open to any opportunity (I'm willing to drive within an hour of Ithaca and can also find a place to board around here), so please feel free to PM me if you know of anything.

Default TB Mare for Partial Lease- Amherst MA

Looking for an intermediate/advanced rider interested in riding a greener but very intelligent and willing TB Mare in Western MA several days a week. She is super sweet, puppy dog personality, and incredibly smart. Currently going w/t/c, some lateral movement, and introducing poles and x-rails. Very comfortable and definitely a fun ride, really enjoys having a job. Only being offered due to owner's lack of time, the horse makes strides (sorry for the pun!) when in consistant work, and truly has so much potential.

Lovely full-care farm in Amherst MA, indoor and outdoor rings, XC course, trails, etc. Close to the five colleges, about 10 minutes from UMASS and Amherst College, on the PVTA bus line.

Terms of the lease are quite negotiable- I'm most interested in finding her the right match.

Default Riderless Horse in Sheridan, IN

My 15 year old 15.1 hh perch/welsh gelding has recently started under saddle work after a year off due to injury. He needs someone who would like to go for hacks with lots of walking to get him moving again. He is on a private farm with plenty of outdoor riding space. He is very well schooled and polite in every way (experience includes dressage, eventing, vaulting, carriage driving, H/J). If all goes well I'd love to have a buddy to haul out for longer trail rides. Thanks!

Default Horseless Rider - Washington, DC

    Hi everybody,

Until recently I was doing a half lease in Potomac, MD, but with the beginning of my second year of grad school - I'm pursuing my masters in social work - I can no longer afford everything. And I'm starting to see the loans add up!

I live in NW DC and can ride weekends and some days (I have a somewhat flexible schedule on days with classes - but others are full internship followed by class). I'd also love to have someone to ride with!

My riding has mostly consisted of hunters, including a lot of lessons and half leases. I rode for 4 years at Hazelwild when I was at Mary Washington College. Mostly small relatively low courses. I love to get out of the ring and do trails with friends.

What with our crazy traffic, I'd like to stay as close to DC as possible but weekends only would be easier.

Send me a note with any ideas & thanks!

Default Horseless Rider - Asheville NC

I sold my horses, truck and trailer last August in order to attend Pharmacy school in Western, NC. I have made it through the first year, but not riding is killing me! I kept the majority of my riding stuff, and would love to find something to sit on.
Before coming to pharmacy school I was working as a barn manager, and have spent lots of years as a working student and professional groom. I brought two of my own horses up to training level eventing, and have ridden numerous others. I am not picky at all, and I will ride anything that is not dangerous (I have health insurance, but I'd rather not use it if I don't have to.) As a side note, I am small enough to ride medium to large ponies.
So if anyone needs a body to hack out your horse(s), exercise it, or anything more, please let me know.

I am also more than willing to come do barn work! Even if there is no riding! I am telling you I am desperate!

Default Horseless rider in Toms River, NJ

Hey all. I'm a horseless rider in Toms River, NJ, looking for something within a half hour drive or so - maybe up to 45 min - to ride casually. I am almost 20 years old and have been riding VERY on and off for six years.. I've never seen a show ring and I jumped maybe three times over itty bitty crossrails more than three and a half years ago or so, maybe, and haven't seen a fence since. Of course, none of this was by choice on my part. Go figure.

I'm an intermediate rider that can be a little timid at times. Two solid years out of the saddle broke my confidence completely. I've spent the last year and change trying to fix myself whenever I had the opportunity to ride, but every time I start to really trust the horse I wind up losing it. I'm mostly better, though..

I am a very sensible, responsible rider who needs a little time to get accustomed to a horse before getting any kind of adventurous. Adventurous, for me, is leaving the ring with the horse, basically. I ride with very soft hands and a quiet leg.. at least as quiet as the horse will let me be.

I am a very quiet person that outgrew petty highschool drama before I even entered high school.

I am not looking to pay or be paid. I'm really just kind of hoping somebody out there has a nice horse that isn't really getting enough attention, or they have an extra horse but no trail riding buddy, something casual.. I know it's a long shot but I gotta give it a try. The weather is finally starting to cool off so I have to get back in the saddle. All summer.. no riding.

I might be willing and able to negotiate some light work in exchange for an informal lesson every now and then.

Email x.synaxis.x@hotmail.com if you have something.

    Default Riderless horse in WI

Due to starting vet school I have a lot less time for my horses. I would love to find someone to trail ride my 8 year old gelding. He has been out on trails alone and in groups a few dozen times before, and though he is not an old pro yet he is generally sane and safe. His spook is a spook in place, or at worst a step to one side if something really startles him, like the time two Canada geese flew out under his nose! I am looking for someone to trail ride him, as often as you like, for free- I simply need him kept in shape and more trail miles put on him. He is boarded south of Madison, WI and has english and western tack though he has mostly been ridden english. Please message me if you are interested, and tell me a bit about your riding experience. Thanks!

Default Temporarily Riderless Horse - Ocala, FL

I am having surgery in Boston on the 27th and will be away for at least 5 weeks. I had a lease lined up for my 3'6" hunter, but it has since fallen through and now I am looking for a temporary situation for him just to keep him exercised!

The horse: 11 y.o. 17+ HH big bodied TB. Arguably the easiest, kindest boy you will ever meet! Auto everything, jumps around kicking quiet and on the buckle in a D-ring snaffle. He currently lives on my private farm, but I would be willing for him to go on a short-term free lease to the right situation. Super easy keeper, lives out 12+ hours a day. I minimally need someone to come hack him 3 days a week (your schedule would have to be a bit flexible as I don't want anyone riding on my property unsupervised and my manager works part time). Please email me if you're interested!
