Riderless Horse - DC/Maryland Suburbs
I work full time and I have an 8yo TB (unraced, but still on the greener side) in the Montgomery County area who could use an extra rider occasionally (1-2 weekdays + when I travel for work). He's primarily an eventer, but we board at a dressage barn - looking for someone to ride him outside in the field and get him out of the ring a bit, though we have an indoor available for dark/bad weather/etc. He's a good guy and a very flashy mover, though still green and not suitable for a beginner. Looking for a confident, experienced rider who likes the TB personality! PM me for more details

Horseless rider in Chapel Hill, NC
Hello,
I'm a horseless dressage rider in Chapel Hill, NC. I've trained/shown through fourth level and have worked with some really good trainers/clinicians. I can flat hunter/jumpers, too.
I haven't ridden in a couple of years and now is the time to get back into things. I'm less interested in a lease, but I am open to taking lessons or doing clinics with your horse.
Please PM me if at all interested.
Thanks!

Working student wanted - Bucks County, PA
Thought I would see if anyone is interested in a particular situation. I am a new trainer looking for a "working student" I do evening chores (turn-out or turn-in) on thursday & friday evenings at the barn where I board. It takes about 2 hours, time depends on time of year. I have access to their school horses. So looking for someone to help with my chores in exchange for a lesson or just riding. You would just have to pay the barn's $10 ring fee. I do dressage and eventing. Good opportunity for someone looking to get more involved in horses and learn about care, not just taking a weekly lesson. Person should be an adult or mature teenager.
Could lead to a lot of different opportunities, including trips to BCHP, shows, leasing, etc.
Best to contact me through my facebook page but will try to check my pms here.
Thanks - please delete if this is inappropriate for thread.

Seeking time in the saddle - Buffalo, NY
Just moved to Buffalo, NY two weeks agp. Can't afford to board my horse out here, but I'm already having a hard time not riding - I would love to find a horse to hack and would certainly love to show around the area. Also willing to take lessons over fences, but I just need to get in the saddle! You can PM me for more info if you know of anyone!
Doesn't matter the breed or the discipline, I'll happily ride it!

Horseless Rider - Miami Florida
1st/2nd level dressage rider looking to ride as much as possible to stay fit in between lessons. Cannot afford my own, would consider a partial lease or part-time working to ride gig. Desperate to be at a dressage barn. Missing it since I moved to Miami.

Riderless Horse-fancy h/j possible lease available
The perfect horse is being offered for lease:
16.3 h coming 10 year old grey WB cross gelding. Has competed local and rated through levels to Devon and Upperville, usually gets a piece of the hack, does hunters and jumpers and equitation. Brave and athletic. This horse is sweet, sane and very well schooled on the flat. He knows his job. He has shown primarily adult hunters, but is also brave and scopey enough and has successfully done the jumpers.
Owner is ideally seeking an on-farm lease at current facility in Aldie, VA. Facility boasts indoor, outdoor, field with jumps, small cross country course, and trails for ride out. Trainer(s) on site. Leasee would pay either half or full lease to include portion of or all board respectively and related expenses to be discussed.
Owner will also consider a full off farm lease to a perfect situation.
Private message please.

Horseless Rider - Austin, TX
I recently moved to Austin, Texas and am looking for a horse to ride. I can't afford a regular part-lease, but would be happy to work off some riding time. At my previous barn I mucked stalls, turned in/out, and fed in exchange for a lease ride, so that kind of arrangement is totally cool with me. Looking to ride English, hunter/jumper or dressage. I also work from home so my schedule is flexible (I can work AM, midday, PM or weekends).
Anything within 20-25 minutes of north Austin (Pflugerville, Round Rock, Manor) would be great!

I need a horse! Raleigh, NC
I've ridden and shown H/J and eq for over 13 years. I'm now a senior in college and have some extra time on my hands to get back in the saddle. I've ridden minimally while in college but have ridden a lot lately for a friend healing from injury, but she is now cleared to ride so I'm horseless again.
I prefer larger horses (15hh+) as I'm 5'9'' but have ridden ponies as small as 13.3hh.
I'm dependable, reliable, responsible, and smart (I'm an engineering student); I am not a liability in your barn. I have my own tack, and am willing to help out around the barn in exchange for rides if need be. I can adapt to your barns rules or your riding styles. I'd be happy with anything from trail riding, to bringing a horse back into shape for showing. I'm also a great conversationalist, so if you have two horses and want a friend to trail ride with, I'd be more than happy to accompany you :-)
I'd like something within 20 minutes of 27606 zip code.
Please PM me for more info, thanks in advance!

Before coming to pharmacy school I was working as a barn manager, and have spent lots of years as a working student and professional groom. I brought two of my own horses up to training level eventing, and have ridden numerous others. I am not picky at all, and I will ride anything that is not dangerous (I have health insurance, but I'd rather not use it if I don't have to.) As a side note, I am small enough to ride medium to large ponies.
So if anyone needs a body to hack out your horse(s), exercise it, or anything more, please let me know.
I am also more than willing to come do barn work! Even if there is no riding! I am telling you I am desperate!
check your pm's - I might have a horse for you if you are still looking.

Riderless horse in Eugene, OR
Work really picks up for me in the winter and I need someone to ride my horse. Willing to consider a lease to the right person/situation.
6 year old mare, just coming back from an injury. Has had professional dressage training, but is still a bit of a project. Has the aptitude for lower level dressage and hunter/jumper, could be an event prospect as well.
I'm open to ideas, I just don't want her to sit in a field all winter with no job.
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.

Riderless Horse - NoVa
I have a 10 year old, 16h palomino AQHA gelding for 1/2 lease in northern VA (Catlett). He is an all around horse: western pleasure, hunter under saddle, jumping, and dressage. Quiet, well mannered but will make you work every second. He packs my 5 year old daughter without any problems.
I prefer the leaser to be able to w/t/c comfortably. Lease includes 1/2 board, farrier, feed, and insurance.
We could all take a lesson from crayons: some are sharp, some are beautiful, some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they still learn to live in the same box. Unknown.

I've been away from the equines for far too long and would really appreciate the chance to be around them. I took lessons in basic English/hunt seat for 20+ years but am out of practice - and timid. Starting all over again would be great. I'm half an hour outside Philadelphia (19406) and have a car, so if you're in Chester, Delaware or Montgomery County, please PM me!
