Which stallions are at the 70 day test??
What stallions are at the 70 day test at Silver Creek? Is there a list somewhere with pedigrees?

Good luck to all the boys and their people, but I'd like to send a special jingle to the Arab stallion (he is no doubt the underdog) and to Reiner K (because he is a Rosenthal baby and my mare is booked to Rosenthal for 2010). Again, good luck to all the boys, and congratulations to their owners. It is apparently a tough (and VERY expensive path) to go down.

I have just checked the pedigree of Aloha at Allbreed and have found my former Trakehner stallion as sire of the mare Fesa, but Ferrum was born 1983 and cannot be the sire of Fesa therefore. Maybe it is another Ferrum but it is definitely not MY Ferrum:

WOW! What a group! Congratulations to all the stallion owners and Silver Creek for taking on the task!
Barbara, can you give us a brief overview of what the stallions will be doing? Do they concentrate on a certain discipline for a certain number of days? Does each boy get his own rider? Things like that....
Good luck to everyone!

Will any of the testing be live steamed? I saw a link on Silver Creeks site but wasn't sure if or when that would be happening.

Some of these are young guys, some are older.
Is there any adjustment in scoring to account for a wide difference in training coming into the testing?
And which registeries accept the results? I think they have various minimum scoring requirements for acceptance.

Paltry though it may be, here's EII's page. I saw him last year at the ISR inspection/stallion testing. Here's a pic of him for you. I am curious to see how he has matured - he had some room to grow still.
It says he was going to show at WEF in '08 but a USEF search of his records shows nothing from '07-'09. I imagine she was pinching pennies to send both boys to the 70 day test... pricey but worthwhile endeavor.

Good to know - I wonder how recent that pic i because he really looks to be still growing. I imagine that sending 2 to the testing was a HUGE financial commitment. I'm rooting for her. We need to suppot SOs that are so committed.

I'd be interested in hearing the format too. This is a really good list of horses--I'm excited to hear how it goes. I've looked at breeding to a couple of them quite seriously.

I suppose I did not state that clearly - that picture is from when I saw him at the ISR stallion testing last year. They recommended giving him more time to mature... I hope all of the stallions at the 70DT get good pictures after all of the working and polishing that is currently going on!

What a marvellous group of stallions! I can't wait for the finals! Good luck to all of them!
Oh, and I spoke with Barb today. She said the Arabian stallion is said to be quite a good jumper! He may end up being the crowd favorite due to his diminutive size competing against the big boys. GOOD FOR HIS OWNER for putting him to the test!

Yay for the Arab boy!! And yah for them all and for their people who took the time and went to this great expense to prove their boys. I hope they all get good scores and pass without injury or illness while they are strutting their stuff.
