    Default Question: Extended Closing Dates

If they extend the closing date of a horse trials, does that also give riders an extra time to w/d and still get a refund?

Extended refund period has not been my experience, since the reason they extend is due to low entries.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

I know of a couple people that were refunded entries when entry deadline was extended last year. Basically if organizer extends the closing date, they have to extend all issues related to 'closing date' including refunds. I think there were some organizer 'concerns' raised over this loophole and there may have been a rule change this year -- don't know.

I think the refunds referenced above were provided reluctantly once the 'maybe I need to call the USEA office and check' intent was made.

Maybe a 'rules guru' can chime in.
