Jingles or prayers requested for a sweet mare. Update- RIP Tess.
I don't think I've ever asked for jingles before, but a really sweet mare who is Jet's next door stall mate sure could use them. Tess is a 14 yr old grey Hano mare who never puts a foot wrong. She is a horse that can go compete and win at an A show, and come home and have her owner's mom, who is a rerider hop on her and do flatwork without missing a beat. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body.
She coliced really badly today, and had surgery, and was given a 20% chance of pulling through. They found adhesions from a previous colic surgery (unknown to the owners now), an impaction, and an entrapment of the small intestine. Some of the small intestine's blood supply was cut off, and the vets felt that because of her being toxic/septic, they couldn't do a resection. Then her strap muscles on her throat seized up risking cutting off her air supply when she was in the recovery room before she woke up, but after removing the endotracheal tube. The vets state that she is at a high risk of Laminitis due to the toxins in her body, and that the small intestine may be too damaged to work properly. They felt that tomorrow and for about 5 days would be the most critical time. Her owners are really good owners, and want to give her every chance, but won't let her suffer.
So having seen the power of COTH jingles/prayer, if you could spare some good thoughts, prayers, or jingles for Tess, it would really be appreciated.
I'm so appreciative of our barn worker, who noticed she wasn't feeling good this morning, and hadn't eaten her hay. He let the BO know, and within about 20 min she went to being extremely bad.

Poor Tess, she sounds like an incredible horse. Sending prayers and jingles to her and her human loved ones.
If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on my cats.
