    Default Rescue help needed!

I recently went to a horse rescue and found myself with two 4 1/2 month old foals. Bonnie and Clyde.

Their mothers are in horrible condition and in dire need of a home. Please let me know if you can help. Both are JC registered TB mares but I doubt will be sound broodmares for at least 2 years, if ever!

I have adopted Bonnie and Clyde. They will stay with me until I find a good home for them. I do not do rescue but could not turn my back on these two babies.

Please meet Bonnie and Clyde. Clyde, the colt is the darker of the two and also the sicker.

I'm looking for pictures of their mothers as we speak. I know someone out there will be able to offer these mares a home...

Here's the mares. I don't know which foal goes with which mare. I do know that both mares are about 7-8 years old, approx. 16h, JC registered TB mares. Please let me know if you can offer any help with these girls. Both are located in Northern Ca. TIA

Default Recue mares need homes right away!

I have adopted both of these mares babies but am unable to adopt them too. Here is a letter from Betsy Bueno who rescued them. Thank you Betsy!

Here are the TWO Mares. Both are around 7-8 years old. Bay Mare off the track a few years ago and broodmare for the last 3 years. Black Mare was suppose to be a prior rescue, also being used as broodmare for last 3 years. Both are suppose to be broke to ride. Both are extremely depressed.

Please contact me if you have a home for them. Both are located in Petaluma, Northern, Ca.

    This yearling is also available.
Last photo of Bay, yearling, 1/2 Clydsdale ( Lucy is her mom) and 1/2 Quarter Horse. Just getting over pigon fever.

    TIA

Misita -- So these mares are at a rescue now and are safe, is that correct? Could you post the name and contact info for the rescue in Northern CA that has these mares, in case someone's interested in the mares?

Thanks for taking in the foals!

Do you mean they need to be rescued from the rescue?

Please contact Betsy Bueno for more information.

No, they do not need to be rescued from the rescue. I do not have all the details. They are currently safe at a boarding farm, not a rescue center. They do need to go to homes where they'll get a lot of personal attention that they aren't getting from the boarding situation that has taken custody of them.

They do need to go to homes where they'll receive special care right away.

    Default Update on the mares

I just got this e-mail from Betsy Bueno who is trying to find homes for these two mares.

    Chris,
I'm starting to get worried. She is talking Auction Yard now with these TWO broodmares. In their shape, they will go to meat. The two babies 1 and 1 1/2 yr olds, I don't know. She didn't mention these two. I'm going to pick up the Percheron and Belgium today or tomarrow and get them out of there for now so they don't go to auction next Monday. The rain is coming and I'm worried about those mares not having shelter or fat to keep warm.

Genevieve picked them up and they are at her nice barn. They are COVERED in ticks and a mess. Vet is on his way out to look them over.

Can you give me any more info on the Clydesdale yearling? Who is Lucy?

So are these two safe for sure now? I responded to an email from Chris about them yesterday and was about to start shooting out mails on them.

ETA: okay just saw the last post now. Thanks!

The mares are still available. I am just fostering them, getting them the care they need until permanent homes can be found.
Both mares are pleasant to work around. They will get their feet done tomorrow. I have been working on getting rid of the ticks.
If you are interseted in either mare you can contact me, Chris or Betsy.
I will take some nice conformation shots of them tomorrow.

The mares are in the barn. You can view them on the cam (well at least one of them)
