To honor Feiner Stern
It has been confirmed that Feiner Stern has passed. I thought we could honor him here by posting photos of his offspring.
This is my homebred 2001 FS daughter. The first photo was taken at her first hunter show, when she had barely turned 4 y/o. It was her first trip around a full course of fences, and going down toward a scary corner of a covered arena. The second photo was taken as a young 5 y/o, when she had just started training as a dressage horse. She is now my personal riding horse.

Since I dont know how to post pix, a link to my FS-Borneo mare. Really a great mare. Gave me two embryos this year, one by Quaterback, one by Ravallo.
I had been looking for a good Feiner Stern mare for so long, so glad I found her!

I have had three Beste Gold daughters from my Feiner Stern mare, She has won numerous Championships in DSHB and Hunter Breeding in hand, but was never started under saddle because she has been having babies, we will start her at age 9 this fall as she got the year off from motherhood. here are pics...
The last photo is of my FeinerStern gelding , who looks just like his Daddy in the face..
Both of these horses were photographed by Pfizer and used in ad campaigns

I have one, but not uploaded to a place I can show right yet. But I can say that I have loved this horse since he was born and has had the most intense intellectual connection with me since he was a baby. Just wants to work, to join in in the fun of work. Love him!
Really wished I could have bred another... too late now.
I may have been away for a while, but I'm not gone yet!

I have admired a number of Feiner Stern foals over the years. I put together some pictures that I took at several breed shows at Paradise Farms in California over the of Feiner Stern youngsters http://www.pbase.com/finnskeeper/fei...n_foals&page=1
I have some other photos of Feiner Stern offspring under saddle and at other breed shows that I will go through my archives and try to find when I get back from a trip next week. He certainly put a stamp on them!

He certainly has given us some wonderful offspring, hasn't he? To everyone here - your FS babies are lovely. I'm sure they'll all do him proud.
Here's my '07 colt (photo from last September):

I just got back on these fourms a couple days ago. I'm so sorry to hear about the lost of Feiner Stern! I will have to post a picture of my friend's mare who is sired by him.... Always wanted to breed a mare to him. I guess I will settle with a foal by one of his sons or out of one of his daughters.

I only just saw this. RIP Feiner Stern - you wonderful, wonderful gentleman.
Here is "Feingold" (2000, barn name "Fritz"), who I purchased in 2004, and now compete in eventing under the name "Fly Me Home".
Sorry for all the pics....I am a huge fan of the FS babies, including my own !!! Below are competition and baby photos - so a good 8 years of history. Unfortunately he is now recovering from a few issues so I pray he gets back to what was a successful 2007. Did I mention WE love cross country?!!!

Great idea to honor stallion. I still so hope that owner will acknowledge his death with AHS so they can put memorial in magazine.
Here is my new Feiner Stern grandbaby from last week. (Oh, should say only 31 days in utero last week):

This is Feiner Abend, a VERY special 2003 mare when we gave her a small break from dressage training, since she loves to jump. Did two hunter sessions and off to this show where she cleaned up. So calm and awesome. She is now back to dressage:

She is also in upper right of header on www.onqhanoverians.com and lower left.
