I can't wait to read the next saga, I mean update, after the vet check. This is like watching Melrose place but in the horse world. I wish it were more like an afternoon soap where we got an update every day. That is the only thing that would make this even better.

At one point I felt sorry for the seller, but now I'm just enjoying the free, live entertainment.

At the end of this, minus the 'ritas and popcorn, methinks we have a handy dandy manual of "what not to ever ever do" when selling a horse.

-don't send horse out for trial before ppe
-don't send horse out without cashing a danged deposit
-don't extend payment terms
-don't deal with shady traders
-don't allow people to use your horse for free unless that was your goal all along
-don't disregard the advice of COTH-ers.
-don't undersestimate the power of COTH-ers to spy and bail your sorry butt out even though you don't WANT to be bailed out.

...nah, the realist in me (and my crystal ball--man, they NEVER agree normally!) both say that this will NOT be over Friday. Or next Friday for that matter.

Though, for the seller's sake, I would LOVE to be wrong.

If it IS over Friday, it will be along the lines of, "Oh, Dobbin failed flexions" (GAG!) or "Dobbin has a bone chip" so we're not going to buy him. And you owe us X for hauling, Y for board, Z for training plus the vetting as he's yours afterall.
