Should I Consider Breeding Her?
I have a German Papered Hanoverian mare who I adore. I'm considering breeding her in the next few years. However, I'm well aware of issues around unwanted horses, so even though I would only plan to breed for myself I want to make sure I'm bring a horse into the world that someone who wasn't me would want to own. I of course thing my mare is wonderful but I want un-objective opinions. I'd also like to hear any suggestions for good stallions. She tends toward being shy so I'm looking for a stallion who throws foals with a confident, mellow disposition. I'm also looking for stallions who throw dressage or eventer type foals with nice action. She hasn't been inspected so I'd be looking to inspect her with a foal at her side, so I was planning to stay with the Hanoverian registry.
Her sire is Zacharias.

Her dam isn't listed on all pedigrees but her dam's sire and dam are.
Her dam's sire is Wienerwald.

Her dam's dam is Sendbotin.

Here's a video of her not long after she was imported. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz00psURxQs
I'd also love to hear from anyone who has offspring related to her. Most of the information about her heritage is in German which, sadly, I don't read.
