SALITO
Salito is by the Hanoverian stallion Stakkato (by Spartan). Stakkato produced 68 approved sons in Germany. Stakkato competed at 1.60m with Eva Bitter and has produced server 1.60m jumping horses, like Udato with Willem Greve, Hunter’s Scendix with Eric Lamaze, Spartacus TN with Henk van de Pol and Filou de Muze with Philippe Le Jeune. Salito’s dam is by Calido I.
His great grand dam Wilm (by Moltke I) produced the 1.45m horse Carlsberg (by Capitol) ridden by Dirk Baudach. From this dam line the following international jumping horses were produced:
Athena (by Ahorn Z) 1.45m with Tom Camerlynck
Escape (by Chin Chin) 1.55m with Perry Geryl
Udam (by Guidam) 1.60m with Jill Blunt
Greece (by Carolus II) 1/40m with Rafael Amaral Rodrigues.
Salito stood at the Landestut Stat Stud in Celle, Germany. Salito is the only son of Stakkato standing at stud in North America. At Salito’s performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2004 he was awarded first place in the jumping category our of 42 stallions. Points given were 8 for character, 8 for willingness, 8 for conformation, 7 & 7.67 for rideability, 6 for trot, 7 and 6 for canter, 6 for walk, 9.17 for free jumping, 9.33 for jumping manner, 9 for jumping technique and 9 for cross country. Salito was the 2006 Hanoverian Jumping Champin in Dobrock and continued to impress with admirable results in both the 2006 and 2007 Bundeschampionat. Salito compted ito 1.45m with Kevin Martsch.
Salito has several offspring competing over in Europe: Argelith Squid competing in the 1.60m, Saphir 416 competing in 1.45m, Super Sox competing with Cian O’Connor (IRL) and Lillie Keenan (USA) in the 1.60m. Super Sox was 3rd in the SCI4* 1.50m at Hickstead and 3rd CSI3*1.50m in Wellington, FL, and in 2015 CSI3* Millstreet (Ireland). So far his offspring display his kind disposition and incredilbly balanced movement.
