This rare son of Clinton I has the extreme athletic quality of his progenitor and the kind, gentle temperament of a wonderfully rideable amateur horse – especially important for mare owners that raise foals at home. Chicardo’s sire, Clinton I, jumped internationally and ranked among the top WBF jumper sires of the world. Ramiro, Cor de la Bryere, Corrado, and Capitol I appear prominently in Chicardo’s 100% Holsteiner Verband approved blood. He represents performance stamm 1298 – one of Holstein's best. Premium imported Holsteiner dam Mycarda produced three approved sons by three different stallions. Chicardo was Champion of his Holsteiner approvals (AHHA 2007) earning 52 bonits and in the same year was Reserve Champion of his Young Jumper Championship Division Finals. With approximately 50 foals on the ground by 2011, Chicardo attended the 2011 German FN-authorized 70-Day Sporthorse Stallion Licensing test. Despite a five percent age deduction (gross score 135.34), he finished second in both the jumping and dressage with a rare perfect “10” for character: Reserve Champion overall. Chicardo stamps his foals with lovely heads, great movement, superior jumping technique and an inborn desire to please their owners/riders. From statistics compiled by the AHHA evaluating stallion production quality, Chicardo leads Holsteiners with an astonishing 83% Premium foals (of 24 inspected), with average foal bonits of 8/8, leading both movement and conformation scores of all 58 qualifying Holsteiner stallions licensed in North America in 2010.
