Brennan Breaks Out At Washington

Washington, D.C.—Oct. 25

In the tackroom at Winter Hill Farm, there’s a shadowbox with a picture of Tony Workman winning the regular working hunter stakes at Washington International Horse Show in 1999 aboard Tracey Weinberg's San Siro. Hopefully that wall’s not too crowded, because after yesterday there's going to be three more photos to hang up.

St. Lawrence University Widens The Gap In The IHSA Collegiate Cup

May 4—Raleigh, N.C.

During the second day at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships, St. Lawrence University pulled away from the pack for the Collegiate Cup.

The team ended the day with 29 points with the help of walk/trot rider Timothy Moore. He won his class, adding 7 points to the team’s total.

Centenary And St. Lawrence Start Strong At The IHSA Nationals

May 3—Raleigh, N.C.

Kathryn Haley launched Centenary College (N.J.) off with a bang at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships when her cool round won the individual open equitation over fences class.

Haley, 19, rode in the second class of the day in Raleigh, N.C., on MyDis, brought to the competition by Hollins University (Va.).

SMU Equestrian: SMU Ranked No. 8 In Equestrian Coaches Poll

The SMU equestrian team is No. 8 nationally in the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in school history. The Mustangs jumped two spots in the poll after opening the spring season by defeating No. 2 Texas A&M on Feb. 3. SMU is 6-4 on the year.

The Mustangs host South Dakota State at BuckBranch Farm on March 3.

It's A Centenary Sweep At The IHSA National Championship

May 6, Lexington, Ky.

The Centenary University (N.J.) Equestrian Team earned its second Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship in the last three years. The team maintained its lead in the Collegiate Cup throughout the show, held May 5-7 at the Kentucky Horse Park.

The Centenary team finished the competition with 33 points, with an 11-point lead ahead of Skidmore College (N.Y.) and St. Lawrence University (N.Y.) who tied for second. Mount Holyoke College (Mass.) finished third with 16 points.
