Applications For 2012-2013 USHJA International Hunter Derby Series Re-Opened

The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association has re-opened applications for USHJA International Hunter Derbies in the 2012-2013 season. Applications to host classes between June 2, 2012 and June 1, 2013 are now due Nov. 1 by 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The USHJA has also removed the limit on the number of competitions allowed to host qualifying competitions.

Inclusive Puts It All Together In The Hampton Classic Hunter Derby

Bridgehampton, N.Y.—Sept. 3

After the excitement of the $100,000 International Hunter Derby Finals on Aug. 19-20 in Lexington, Ky., many riders who competed there gathered again in Bridgehampton, N.Y., for the Hampton Classic’s first ever hunter derby. In a beautiful setting, the class was an aesthetically pleasing, but less physically rousing experience.

Keenan Cashes In At USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals

Aug. 20—Lexington, KY

The evening started out a little rough for Lillie Keenan at the $100,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals. But by the night’s end, she had an 8-point lead over some of the top hunter riders in the country, most of them more than a decade her senior.

Round 2 Order of Go

The top 25 horses from yesterday’s qualifying round of the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals will return with a clean slate for Round 2, the Classic Round of the Final starting at 6:45 p.m. tonight, Sat. Aug. 20. The top 12 with return in reverse order for Round 3, the handy round.

Stewart Stands Alone At Top Of USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals

Aug. 19, Lexington, Ky.

With four horses in the top six, including all of the top three, Scott Stewart became the rider to beat in the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals. Only Lillie Keenan joined him in the top slots, taking fourth and fifth going into the second round tomorrow night.
