Roffman And Hafner Finish On Top At USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions

Gladstone, N.J. – June 17

After winning the Prix St. Georges and the Intermediaire I, Caroline Roffman was in a good position to take home the National Intermediaire I championship as she headed into the freestyle. But fireworks and horses seldom make a good combination, and a wedding celebration that went late into the night near the stabling meant Pie had a less than restful night.

Roffman And Hafner Prevail At The USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions

Caroline Roffman and Pie stood out again at the U.S. Equestrian Federation Dressage Festival of Champions, this time winning the Intermediaire I test with a 75.39 percent.

“He was so good yesterday, and I was a little bit nervous that I couldn’t do it again,” she said. “He was different. He was a little more nervous, but he tried for me, so I couldn’t be happier.”

Peters Proves Unstoppable In Olympic Dressage Selection Trials

Gladstone, N.J. – June 16

Steffen Peters and Legolas secured their place on top of the rankings of the National Grand Prix Dressage Championship with a winning Grand Prix Special (77.95%) at the U.S. Equestrian Federation Dressage Festival Of Champions. Their average score over four tests and two weekends was 77.65 percent.

“Out of all four days, I think today he did the best piaffe and passage. He wants to do it,” said Peters. “I can’t believe how generous this horse really is.”

Konyot Shines In The Third Leg Of The Olympic Selection Trials

Gladstone, N.J. – June 15

Tina Konyot blew away the judges with her Grand Prix test at the U.S. Equestrian Federation Dressage Festival of Champions, scoring an 80.14 percent, the first score out of the 70s for the Olympic selection trials this year.

Her test started with the most square and elegant halt of the group on her Calecto V, which impressed the judges enough to start her with an average of 92 percent for the first movement.

Pie Picks Up A Prix St. Georges Win At The USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions

Gladstone, N.J. – June 14

Caroline Roffman got it right when she said, "Pie had the best ride we've ever had. Luckily, it was in the ring."

The ride earned them the Prix St. Georges win at the U.S. Equestrian Federation Dresssage Festival of Champions.

Pie’s score of 73.97 percent took the lead early in the day, and no one could quite catch them. Steffen Peters and Sundance 8 came the closest with a 72.23 percent, good enough for second.
