Snow Won't Dampen Incredible Sport at Spruce Meadows 'Masters'

Calgary, AB, Canada – September 9, 2014 – Despite an unusual accumulation of snow on the ground, the Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament is full steam ahead for five days of the best equestrian sport in the world from September 10-14. Competition in the International Ring will be held tomorrow; both the $50,000 TELUS Cup 1.50m and the $85,000 Finning Cup 1.60m have been adjusted to now be held in a speed format, with the TELUS Cup starting at 1 p.m.

    Palmers and McCormick Finish Fifth on Final Day of Vaulting at 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

    Caen, France - On the fourth and final day of vaulting competition, World Championship titles were decided in the Pas de Deux, Individual Female, Individual Male, and Squad divisions. A packed crowd at the Zénith witnessed the best of the best in the discipline of vaulting perform their Second Round Freestyle Tests in front of the judging panel of Sue Detol, Elzbieta Dolinska, Anita Flamand, Véronique Girard, Pavla Krauspe, Anna Kull, Helma Schwarzmann, and Karolina Wickholm in hopes of bringing home a medal for their country.

    Caen, France - The third day of vaulting competition was another exciting one at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, with the Individual Female and Male competitors performing their Second Round Technical Tests and the Pas de Deux pairs taking to the main arena in the Zénith for the first time. The judging panel of Sue Detol, Elzbieta Dolinska, Anita Flamand, Véronique Girard, Pavla Krauspe , Anna Kull, Helma Schwarzmann, and Karolina Wickholm had their work cut out for them with another day's worth of fantastic performances.

    New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program to Host Inaugural Hunter Pace

    Paris, KY – Sept. 4, 2014 – The inaugural New Vocations Hunter Pace will take place on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Scheffelridge Farm in Paris, Kentucky, to support New Vocations efforts to rehab, retrain and rehome retired racehorses. The event will be ridden over a course simulating hunting terrain, and can be ridden at the speed at which one would traditionally ride to the hounds. The course, taking place on well over 100 acres, will be clearly marked and jumps will be flagged; it will include gates and water crossings (that are also optional).
