“Dream Come True” for Colorado Junior Rider During Colorado Fall Preview Show

Janelle Henningsen (Tess Harris, Paul Rohrbach, and Corky Shaha, trainers) has dreamed about going to the ASPCA Maclay Finals ever since she was 12 years old. Every year, she would plant herself down in front of the computer and spend virtually the whole day watching every jump, every lead change, every extended trot. Now after winning the Maclay Regional Final for Region 6 at the Colorado Fall Preview (Sept 3-6), the junior from Valor Christian High School is finally heading to Kentucky to show the rest of the nation what she has to offer.

World’s Top-Ranked Riders Confirmed to Compete in October at the Longines Masters of Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA. September 15, 2015 – On October 1- 4, the world’s best riders will converge in California to compete for $1 million in prize money at the Longines Masters of Los Angeles. As the only FEI recognized CSI 5* show jumping competition on the West Coast, the American leg of the Longines Masters series has attracted top-ranked international riders, including 17 Olympians, 23 World Equestrian Games team members, 11 World Cup Finals medalists, the 2015 Pan American Games Team USA Bronze Medalists and Individual Gold Medalist McLain Ward.

Flat Racing Comes to Northern Virginia

WARRENTON, Va., Sept. 11, 2015 –The Virginia Equine Alliance announced today that Virginia Downs racing will make its debut in Northern Virginia on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Great Meadow in The Plains, Va. (5089 Old Tavern Rd., The Plains, Va. 20198) with six flat races and pari-mutuel wagering.  Gates open at noon with the first race at 2 p.m.  The purpose of the event is to highlight Virginia’s extensive equine breeding and racing industry.  Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Fauquier SPCA, a non-profit.

USEF Names Athletes for 2015 FEI World Endurance Championship for Young Riders & Juniors

Lexington, Ky. - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce the combinations that will represent the U.S. at the 2015 FEI World Endurance Championships for Young Riders & Juniors in Santo Domingo, Chile, October 23-24, 2015. The U.S. representatives will be led by USEF Chef d'Equipe, Mark Dial.
