Performance Hunters Start Off Summer in the Rockies with a Bang

Parker, CO - June 4, 2014- A strong group of competitors came out for the Performance Hunters on day one of Summer in the Rockies I at the Colorado Horse Park. Both the 3'3" and 3'6" divisions ran an over fences class, a handy class, and an under saddle. Course designer Scott Starnes created a positive atmosphere in the main hunter ring which tested the consistency, fluidity, responsiveness and overall form of the hunters.

Lamaze, Ward, and Sweetnam Post Victories on Opening Day of Spruce Meadows 'National' Tournament

Calgary, AB, Canada – June 4, 2014 – In a day packed full of show jumping, three top athletes posted victories in the International Ring on the opening day of the Spruce Meadows 'National' Tournament. In the $85,000 ATB Financial Cup 1.55m, Eric Lamaze (CAN) and Powerplay were victorious. McLain Ward (USA) had two wins today, and Shane Sweetnam (IRL) was also honored in awards presentations.

Hart Maintains Lead in USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championship Following Two Days of Competition

Gladstone, N.J. - The USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championship continued on Wednesday with all 24 competitors performing their second tests of the week. Before the Ground Jury of Adrienne Pot, David Schmutz, and Kristi Wysocki, riders demonstrated the FEI Individual Tests in their respective grade to earn a further 40% of their championship score in the Dick and Jane Brown Arena at the historic USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J.

Sara McCoy Palmer Wins Alumni Tournament Of Champions

Long Valley, NJ (May 18, 2014)----Sara McCoy Palmer was sitting comfortably in second place when judge Mary Babick lined the top four competitors in the Alumni Cup, without trainers, facing away from the ring. However, Sara bested the other three competitors to come out on top. Seventeen riders started the day in our Alumni Cup riding over fences in a course that contained eight fences but questioned the riders with a trot fence, option fence, and hand gallop fence. All seventeen returned to ride in two heats for scores on the flat.

‘Horses and Hounds’ at AVA Gallery and Art Center

Christine Orcutt Henderson and Derek Bell are combining their works of art in a joint show, "Horses and Hounds," opening July 25 from 5-7 p.m. in the Johnson Sisters Library (second floor) of the AVA Gallery and Art Center located at 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, NH. The exhibition will last until August 27. A gallery talk with the artists is scheduled for Wednesday August 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Susie Schoellkopf Inducted Into the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame

Buffalo, NY - June 3, 2014 - The National Show Hunter Hall of Fame (NSHHF) awarded numerous honors last Tuesday night at their annual dinner held at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA, but it was Susan B. Schoellkopf who shined. Schoellkopf was named inducted alongside Bruc Duchossois, Brian Lenehan and Jane Gaston.
