NFL, Under Armour, and GE’s Head Health Challenge funds novel material to better understand, identify and protect against brain injury

Funding has been awarded to world-leading, US-based helmet designer and manufacturer, Roy Burek of Charles Owen Inc. to develop a novel material created by researchers from Cardiff University’s School of Engineering and Cambridge University Engineering Department. This funding has been made by a partnership of the National Football League (NFL), Under Armour, GE, and the U.S.

Grand Prix Tutoring Now Accepting Students for 2016 WEF and GDF Season

Wellington, FL – December 8th, 2015 – Grand Prix Tutoring, a professional one-on-one tutoring service designed to help equestrian athletes succeed, is currently accepting new students for the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and Global Dressage Festival (GDF) season in Wellington, Florida. Students competing at WEF and GDF work hard to see success in the show ring, and now, with Grand Prix Tutoring, they can see further success in the classroom as well.

Bonsall, Calif., November 3, 2015 - San Luis Rey Equine Hospital (SLREH) is proud to announce the arrival of computed tomography (CT, or "cat scan") to their advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities. They are currently one of two clinics in North America successfully performing standing CT scans of the equine skull. This includes visualization of the brain, sinuses, nasal cavities, and teeth, all without the superimposition which greatly hampers standard radiography. With the installation design at SLREH, imaging of the skull is possible without the need for general anesthesia.

Split Rock Jumping Tour Changes Schedule for Friday

Lexington, KY - October 8, 2015 - The Split Rock Jumping Tour has announced a change to its Friday schedule, moving its FEI Grand Prix earlier in the day. With heavy rain forecasted for Friday afternoon, the start time for the Grand Prix is being moved up to 11:30 am. The Bourbon International CSI 3*, the second show of Split Rock's new international jumping series, is being held at Split Rock Farm in Lexington, KY, October 9-11.
