USEF Launches Elite Training Center Designation Program

Lexington, Ky.- The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce the creation of the USEF Elite Training Center Designation Program. The program will, initially, allow venue owners, who have hosted at least one USEF sanctioned team, developing rider or horse training session within the last year, in one of the nine disciplines that the USEF runs programs for developing and preparing teams to compete internationally, to apply for their venue for Elite Training Center status.

EEM, Creator of Exceptional Equestrian Events, Announces the Appointment of Fabien Grobon as Managing Director

After five years as CEO of the FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014, Fabien Grobon joins EEM as Managing Director, starting September 1, 2015. 

He will now manage the team at EEM, the company founded in 2009 by Christophe Ameeuw, who remains CEO. He will continue to consolidate the development of the Longines Masters series, now on three continents and recognized as the most prestigious indoor showjumping competition worldwide.

Morris to Judge MHJA Medal Finals Before Clinic

Temperance, MI – August 25, 2015 – George H. Morris returns to conduct a clinic for Scott Alder's Stoney Ridge Farm in Temperance, MI, September 7-9, 2015 at Hunter’s Run Stables. Morris will judge the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association Medal Finals on Sunday, September 6th, before teaching the three-day clinic, which includes USHJA Trainer Certification.

Southern Eventing and Dressage Association to Hold First USEA Recognized Horse Trial Since Hurricane Katrina

We are pleased to announce that the Southern Eventing and Dressage Association will be holding the first USEA recognized horse trial since Hurricane Katrina in 2005 at the September 19 and 20th Fleur de Leap Horse Trials.  Formerly known as the Watershed Horse Trials, this course was completely decimated by the storm and has been in the process of rebuilding for the last 10 years. Join us in celebrating the rebirth of nationally recognized eventing in Southern Louisiana!

The Jonathan Wentz Memorial Challenge for High Performance Para Dressage Reaches $800,000 Goal

Gladstone, NJ - August 12, 2015 - In the spring of 2014, Margaret H. Duprey and The Barnfield Foundation launched The Jonathan Wentz Memorial Challenge for High Performance Para Dressage to help raise $800,000 for the discipline. Through the challenge, Duprey and The Barnfield Foundation each pledged up to $200,000, matching dollar for dollar, gift commitments of $4,000 and above. This month the goal was reached, providing the Para Dressage High Performance program with critical funding.

Pony Club Awards College Scholarships to Members

August, 13 2015 (Lexington, KY) – Six outstanding Pony Club members were awarded college scholarships through The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. for outstanding sportsmanship, stewardship, and leadership through horsemanship. The recipients are chosen by a scholarship committee and administered by Pony Club based on the requirements for each opportunity.
