USEF Helmet Rule Update: Executive Committee To Consider Changes Defining Application To Breed Competitions

Lexington, KY - The Executive Committee of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will meet to consider Extraordinary Rule Changes to clearly define the implementation of the Federation's new helmet rule to breed competitions that offer dressage classes. The committee will meet later this month to discuss the changes, which will clarify the rule in the Andalusian, Arabian, Friesian and Morgan divisions of USEF Licensed Competitions.

Tom Dvorak And Renoir Win Arenus Performance And Conditioning Award At Gold Coast Dressage Opener Festival CDI

Wellington, FL (February 4, 2011) – Canadian trainer Tom Dvorak has his sights set on the Pan American Games with Renoir, a horse owned by one of his clients at Border Fox Farm in Toronto. Dvorak not only competed Renoir at the Gold Coast Dressage Opener Festival, but also rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award.

Shelly Temple Wins 2010 USEF Horse Of The Year For Combined Driving Single Pony

For the third time, LR Ami B-Line, a Morgan gelding owned, trained, and competed by Shelly Temple has been named the USEF Horse of the Year for Combined Driving-Single Pony.  Cooper was honored twice previously in 2006 and 2007.

The 2010 HOTY honor capped a successful season for Shelly and her Team Catalyst.  She won the National Championship for Combined Driving Single Pony for the second time in her career.  Shelly, Cooper, and Shelly’s husband, Fran Doto, won many combined driving events across the U.S. in a variety of divisions including:

World Championship Hunter Rider Program Gears Up To Celebrate 15th “Spectacular” Year In Wellington

Lexington, KY-The World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Spectacular will be held for the 15th straight year at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL beginning on February 18th. The Spectacular first debuted in 1997 as an expansion of the popular World Championship Hunter Rider program. The Spectacular was created as a premier Hunter Classic, and part of the member event series for the WCHR program, which culminates with the WCHR Finals at The Capital Challenge Horse Show in October.
