At the Board of Governors meeting November 6-7, 2010, the Pony Club Riding Center Program was approved by a unanimous vote to become a permanent program. This approval comes after a five-year 'beta' period during which the program was tested at over 50 Pony Club Riding Centers serving more than 700 members around the United States. USPC offers the Pony Club Riding Center Program to professional facilities with an established riding lesson program.

On Wednesday, at the exclusive Wanderer's Club, the Wellington Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual "Kick-Off to the Equestrian and Polo Season" luncheon. This year's luncheon was hosted by Phelps Media Group and PhelpsSports.com. This was the fourth year that the Chamber highlighted the equestrian community with this "kick-off" luncheon.
Leif Aho’s gorgeous black Friesian, Taeke V, competed at the Gold Coast Dressage Association’s Fall Fling show, bringing home ribbons as well as winning the TailRx “Best Tail Award.” Sponsored by TailRx, a revolutionary mane and tail restoration system for horses, Aho and Taeke V, of Free Spirit Friesians in Wellington, were awarded a prize basket of TailRx products for their win.
Isabelle Leibler competed her new horse, Watson 108, at the Gold Coast Dressage Association’s Fall Fling show, riding away with the blue ribbon in the FEI Prix St. Georges class. Thanks to Watson’s gleaming coat and spotless appearance, the duo also took home the “Best Turned Out Horse” Award sponsored by Custom Saddlery, makers of handcrafted custom-fit dressage, jumping, and event saddles.
Five riders and horses traveled west to take on their West Coast compatriots at the inaugural Galway Downs International CCI***, the final competition of the 2010 PRO Tour Event Series. In the end, it was West Coast transplant, Jennie Brannigan, who gave Nina Gardiner's Cambalda a chance to show what a talented jumper this horse really is when they finished on their dressage score of a 46.0.
International dressage rider Susie Dutta and her 11-year-old mare Golden Choice DC dominated the FEI at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Fall Fling show, riding away as the winner of the FEI Intermediaire I with a score of 68.421 and the FEI Prix St. George with a 71.053. Dutta and Golden Choice also won the Peak Performance Award, sponsored by The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center.
Callan Solem Show Stables will be traveling to Wellington, FL, to compete at the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival. After a successful campaign during the 2010 summer and fall seasons, including Solem's VDL Torlando laying down an incredible performance during the Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix, Solem and her clients are looking forward to WEF.
Dressage rider Tina Konyot, who represented the United States at the 2010 World Equestrian Games on her magnificent stallion Calecto V, will be giving a dressage clinic at Waterbury Dressage Center, a world-class dressage facility near New York City. The Tina Konyot Clinic will be held December 10-12 and room is available for auditors.
