Green Mountain Horse Association Launches Major Cross-Country Upgrade Project

South Woodstock, Vermont (May 11, 2011)—The Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) is embarking on an ambitious, multi-year project to upgrade their cross-country course, including footing and site work, installation of new complexes, creation of an Intermediate track and repairing and augmenting the current Beginner Novice through Preliminary-level jump inventory with new permanent and portable fences.

Griffis Group Joins The Colorado Horse Park For A Summer Of Equestrian Sport

Parker, CO---A thrilling summer at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) will be highlighted with nearly $1,000,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs during Summer Circuit, June 8-July 24, 2011.

Griffis Group, a Denver-based real estate investment group, joins CHP as title sponsor for the $40,000 Griffis Apartment Funds Grand Prix on July 16. This international show jumping event is expected to attract top equestrians from around North America, and is part of a six-week circuit that brings millions of dollars into the local economy in Parker and Douglas County.

In The Heat And Humidity Electrolytes To The Rescue

When it’s time to sweat, electrolytes must come to the rescue!

When record temperatures and high humidity plague our horses, care must be taken to keep your horse hydrated and healthy.  That is when giving your horse electrolytes is essential.

Sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium are the primary electrolytes (ions) needed by a working horse. When ions are balanced, they promote water consumption and retention, which can eliminate dehydration and other health problems. Electrolytes will keep your horse well on those super hot days.

April 27th, 2011 brought devastating tornadoes to Alabama and neighboring states. The destruction is extremely wide spread and has left so many areas a wasteland. Families have lost their loved ones, their homes, and their basic way of life and are faced with the daunting task of starting over completely from scratch. They have lost many beloved pets, horses, and  farm animals and have no way of caring for the ones that remain. As members of the equestrian community, we feel we must do what we can to help those that are in so much pain and need.

Rolex Competitors Cool Down Horses After Cross Country Phase With Professional's Choice Ice Boots

LEXINGTON, KY - Last Saturday the cross country phase of the coveted Rolex Three Day Event competition drew a group of elite riders including Olympians William Fox-Pitt, Phillip Dutton, and Karen O'Connor. he Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has signed a new four-year contract with IMG Media (IMG), a division of the global sports, fashion and media company IMG Worldwide, that will ensure global distribution of the FEI’s major equestrian events to television audiences worldwide. The contract runs through to the end of 2014.
