Alltech National Horse Welcomes Sleepy P Ranch as Junior Jumper Sponsor

Lexington, KY - June 16, 2011 - - The Alltech National Horse Show, 128th edition, announced today that Sleepy P Ranch has graciously agreed to join forces with this year's event as sponsors of the $25,000 Junior Jumper Division.

The Alltech National Horse Show CSI-W 4* will be staged at the Alltech Arena at the world-renowned Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, site of last year's Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

Contango Son Don Tango High Score Dressage at KWPN Stallion Performance Test

Coatesville, PA- Contango's son Don Tango was awarded the High Score Dressage stallion at the 2011 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Test. The handsome young stallion received 9s on rideability, temperament, self-carriage and balance during the testing. Don Tango became the fourth Approved Stallion by Iron Spring Farm's Preferent stallion Contango, joining Citango, Maestro and Ravel. Contango, who won both the jumping and dressage portions of his own stallion testing, has become recognized as one of the most influential KWPN stallions of his generation.

Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series to Culminate With $50,000 Championship Final at the 2011 Alltech National Horse Show

Lexington, KY--June 13, 2011-- The 2011 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series will culminate with a $50,000 Championship Final.  The Final--the $50,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior/Amateur-Owner Championship Presented by  Sleepy P Ranch, Deeridge Farm and Chansonette Farm--will be held on Saturday, November 5 as part of the Alltech National Horse Show, 128th edition, CSI-W Lexington 4*, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, November 2 -6.

$25,000 Equestrian Sport Productions Grand Prix Held At The 83rd Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Charity Horse Show

The 83rd Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Charity Horse Show held the $25,000 Equestrian Sport Productions Grand Prix on Saturday June 11th. Course designer Doug Russell presented a technical course that whittled down the field of 25 to only 2 riders, each with 2 rides in the jumpoff. A familiar sight for shows in the Southeast, it was Tryon’s own Vick Russell and Aiken’s Daniel Geitner left to duel it out for the win.

Five Star Tack’s Bridles with Benefits Program Donates Bridles to Off the Track Thoroughbred Retraining Programs

In 2010, Jamie Greene of Five Star Tack discovered a creative new way to benefit horse-related charities: by collecting bridles and then sending them to training programs for Off the Track Thoroughbreds, such as CANTER, New Vocations and the Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue. Initially Five Star Tack made a donation of thirty-five new bridles to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and CANTER USA to be used in their retraining programs.
