Melissa Millerick-May of Michigan Wins First Saddle In Custom Saddlery’s All American Saddle Fit Challenge

Michigan dressage rider Melissa Millerick-May is still on cloud nine after receiving the phone call informing her that she has won the first dressage saddle in Custom Saddlery’s All American Saddle Fit Challenge. Millerick-May entered the contest at the USDF Member’s Lounge while volunteering at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky.

TailRx Has ShopNBC Viewers Going Horse Crazy Over Hair Treatment

 ShopNBC viewers have gone horse crazy over TailRx, a mane and tail restoration system developed for horses that can also be used on humans. Mary Brunetti, hairstylist, dressage rider and founder of TailRx, has appeared on ShopNBC twice and will be returning to the broadcast because sales of TailRx have been phenomenal during the show.

Victorious Again! Leah Winston and Amintas Interagro Capture High Score Lusitano Award At Gold Coast Fall Fling Show

 Leah Winston and Amintas Interagro, a six-year-old Lusitano stallion, once again rode away as the winner of the High Score Lusitano Award, this time at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Fall Fling Show. Winston and Amintas Interagro also captured the High Score Lusitano Award, sponsored by the Lusitano CollectionTM, hosts of The 2011 Lusitano CollectionTM International Horse Auction, during the Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge.

Official FEI Clean Sport App Extended To Android Smartphones

Three weeks after launching its ground-breaking iPhone app for Equine Prohibited Substances, the FEI has today announced that the app is now available on Android smartphones.

The mobile application gives those involved in horse sport fast and easy access to crucial information on prohibited substances. When it was launched at the start of November for iPhone users, it was greeted with great enthusiasm by the equestrian community, already more than 2,000 people worldwide have downloaded the app and it featured third on the iTunes Store “New and Noteworthy” section.

Swedish Dressage Rider Tove Elgeskog-Chamness Wins Wellington Institute “Rider Wellness Award” at Gold Coast Fall Fling

Swedish dressage rider Tove Elgeskog-Chamness and her Swedish Warmblood gelding Gandalf captured the blue ribbon in the Training Level Test Two with a 67.5% during the Gold Coast Dressage Association’s Fall Fling Show. While Elgeskog-Chamness was thrilled with Gandalf’s first show, she was also pleased to ride away as the winner of the “Rider Wellness Award” from The Wellington Institute.

American Flag Mural Unveiled at Colonial Cup “Salute to Military.” Next Stop Is the Middle East

The Carolina Cup Racing Association’s (CCRA) “Salute to the Military” at this year’s Colonial Cup proved to be a flag-waving event in more ways than one with the unveiling of a mural of “Old Glory” that is being sent to the Kershaw County based unit of the South Carolina National Guard currently deployed in the Middle East.

Rene DiClemente Wins Everglades Dressage Adult Amateur High Score Award At Gold Coast Fall Fling

Dressage rider Rene DiClemente added another award to her long list of accomplishments when she won the Everglades Dressage Overall High Score Adult Amateur Award with her Hanoverian gelding WoJo at the Gold Coast Dressage Association’s Fall Fling show. Sponsored by Everglades Dressage Farm and Bethany Peslar, DiClemente and WoJo won the High Score Award with a 70.435% in the Training Level I class.
