‘Horses and Hounds’ at AVA Gallery and Art Center

Christine Orcutt Henderson and Derek Bell are combining their works of art in a joint show, "Horses and Hounds," opening July 25 from 5-7 p.m. in the Johnson Sisters Library (second floor) of the AVA Gallery and Art Center located at 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, NH. The exhibition will last until August 27. A gallery talk with the artists is scheduled for Wednesday August 27 at 6:30 p.m.

U.S. Eyes Victory at the Saumur CAIO4*

Saumur, France- The United States has fielded an exciting team for this week's Saumur CAIO4*, which will run June 5-9, in Saumur, France. Chester Weber, Lisa Stroud, and Misdee Wrigley-Miller have their sights set on top Team and Individual placings in Four-in-Hand competition, while Laurie Astegiano will represent the U.S. as an Individual in the Pony Team division.

Susie Schoellkopf Inducted Into the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame

Buffalo, NY - June 3, 2014 - The National Show Hunter Hall of Fame (NSHHF) awarded numerous honors last Tuesday night at their annual dinner held at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA, but it was Susan B. Schoellkopf who shined. Schoellkopf was named inducted alongside Bruc Duchossois, Brian Lenehan and Jane Gaston.

Talented Field Lines Up for USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championship and Selection Trial for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team

Gladstone, N.J. - A talented field of para-equestrian dressage athletes have flocked to the USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J., this week to stake their claim on a National Title and vie for selection for this summer's 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championship will host 24 combinations, across all five grades, 14 of which are also contesting the Selection Trial for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Team, which is being run concurrently at the event June 2-5.

USEF Updates Team for 2014 Rotterdam CDIO5*

Lexington, Ky.- The United States Equestrian Federation has updated the U.S. Dressage Team for the 2014 Rotterdam CDIO5* taking place during the CHIO Rotterdam in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, June 18-22. Catherine Haddad-Staller has been added to the team, and Devon Kane has withdrawn Diamante Farms’ Destiny for veterinary reasons.

Haddad-Staller (Wellington, Fla.) will ride her own Mane Stream Hotmail. Mane Stream Hotmail is a 2002 Oldenburg gelding.

Washington State Welcomes George H. Morris at Potcreek Meadow Farm

Redmond, WA - June 2, 2014 - Summer is here and for the next stop on his clinic schedule, George Morris will be heading west to Cara and Jeff Anthony's Potcreek Meadow Farm in Redmond, Washington. Morris will be teaching June 6-8, 2014, and this year's clinic is part of the USHJA Trainer Certification Program. This unique clinic includes use of the grass grand prix field that Morris designed, featuring a grob, ditch, and open water. The legendary horseman and coach will be instilling the foundations of good horsemanship for riders and auditors.
