The First Equine Assisted Therapy Center in Virginia Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Forty years ago, two influential community residents – 4-H leader Barbara Baird and journalist Leonard Warner – realized a mutual dream to provide equine-assisted therapy to Loudoun County’s residents with special needs. The notion of using horses to provide emotional and physical benefits to people with physical and cognitive disabilities was fairly new in the United States, although already well established in Great Britain, when Baird and Warner created what would become Loudoun Therapeutic Riding.

North American League Announces Year-End Division Winners

Woodstock, England -  The Fidelity Blenheim International Horse Trials CCI3* came to a conclusion on Sunday with the influential final show jumping phase. Leading the American effort were USEF Land Rover Competition Grant Recipients Phillip Dutton and Fernhill Cubalawn, who earned a top 20 placing in their first CCI3* together.
