G&C Farm Returns as Presenting Sponsor of $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational

The 41st $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational, America's "Super Bowl of Show Jumping," will take place this year on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium. G&C Farm has once again stepped forward to be the presenting sponsor for the historic event, which brings together the top horse and rider combinations in the world. In 2012, the American Invitational was ranked second on the North American Riders Group's Special Events.

First USEF Developing Riders/Eventing 25 Program Training Sessions of 2013 Considered Great Successes

The USEF Eventing Team Coach David O'Connor conducted the first two training sessions of 2013 for the redesigned USEF Developing Riders/Eventing 25 Program. The first session took place January 21-24 at Flying Tail Farms at Red Fox Farm in Gilroy, CA for West Coast riders, followed by the second session on January 27-February 1 at Meredyth South in Ocala, FL. The sessions consisted of both mounted lessons as well as lectures encouraging the riders to become students of the sport with a well-rounded knowledge.

Happy Endings Farm Celebrates Four Fantastic Weeks at the Winter Equestrian Festival

As week five of the Winter Equestrian Festival approaches this Wednesday, Happy Endings Farms celebrates their success from the first weeks of competition, with top ribbons earned across numerous divisions. Linda Smith-Faver guided her students to various placings in the Adult Amateur Hunters, Short Stirrup Hunters, and the Cross Rails Hunter division, as well as taking home several championships.

National Horse Show Association Honored for Ten Years of Giving to United States Equestrian Team Foundation

The National Horse Show Association of America was recognized recently for ten years of continued contributions to the United States Equestrian Team Foundation at a Gold Medal cocktail reception at the Palm Beach Polo and Country Club Golf House in Wellington, Florida. The reception was to honor the long-time donors for their steadfast generosity.

Preparations Underway for the 81st Carolina Cup

The 81st running of The Carolina Cup is set for March 30th, 2013 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden.

The Carolina Cup Racing Association is busy taking orders for tickets and parking for the annual rite of spring. The steeplechase race day brings together horses, history and hospitality in order to raise money for local charities. 

Last year the CCRA made charitable contributions that exceeded $250,000.

Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix Series Returns

The Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix Series returns for a third year at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, opening with the $15,000 Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix on Sunday, February 10, in the International Arena.

A mandatory riders meeting will be held on Friday, February 8, at 4 p.m. in The Wellington Club.

Dressage at Devon Horse Show Receives USEF Heritage Competition Status

The Dressage at Devon Horse Show has been honored with the United States Equestrian Federation’s (USEF) designation as a USEF Heritage Competition. The Heritage Competition title is the highest honor currently held by any Federation horse show and Dressaage at Devon is the first dressage show to receive this honor.

Who Reins Supreme?: World-Class Equestrians Compete For A Cause

Two world-class riders from each discipline—show jumping, hunter, dressage and polo—competed in the reining ring at the Equestrian Aid Foundation fundraiser, Who Reins Supreme?, presented by Wellington Classic Dressage. Held on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., the evening raised funds for EAF programs that financially assist equestrians, horsemen and equine-related professionals who are suffering from catastrophic illnesses and injuries, throughout their time of need.
