The Dressage Foundation Awards $10,000 To U.S. Dressage Instructors

December 2, 2014 - The Dressage Foundation has announced that a total of $10,000 has been awarded to U.S. dressage instructors through the Major Anders Lindgren Scholarship program, funded through The Dressage Foundation’s Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund.  The Lindgren Scholarships provide financial support that enables dressage instructors to train in a concentrated amount of time in order to improve teaching, riding, and training skills.  This year, the Selection Committee chose the following recipients:

Baku, Azerbaijan- December 14, 2014- Equestrian heroes - and a very special dog - were celebrated tonight at the FEI Awards Gala 2014 presented by Longines.

The five winners of the "Oscars of the equestrian world" 2014 were presented with their awards by outgoing FEI President HRH Princess Haya on her final day as FEI President at a dazzling ceremony in Baku's fabulous Buta Palace.

2015 Great Charity Challenge Presented by Fidelity Investments® Draws 28 Charities at Wellington Chamber's Winterfest

Families enjoyed the Wellington Chamber of Commerce's Winterfest featuring musical performances by Vanilla Ice and The Voice's Michaela Paige, exciting show jumping, and a great night of philanthropy where over 400 Palm Beach County charities applied for the chance to participate in the 2015 Great Charity Challenge (GCC) presented by Fidelity Investments®.

Deadline Date is January 23 for 2015 AHP Student Award Contest

The 2015 AHP Student Award Contest recognizes the talents of students by awarding up to three $750 travel awards to attend the AHP Annual Seminar in San Antonio, Texas on June 18-20, 2015. Travel Award winners have an opportunity to meet leading equine publishing professionals and discuss career possibilities during the three days of educational sessions and related activities. One Travel Award winner will be selected at the seminar as the 2015 Student Award winner and win a cash award of $1,000. Additional cash awards may be awarded at the discretion of the judges.

DevInvest Announces Endowment Foundation to Benefit the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair

Devon, PA – December 12, 2014 – DevInvest has announced the establishment of an endowment to benefit the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair.

DevInvest is a new nonprofit foundation which will act independently from the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Inc. and the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation. The endowment was approved during its initial board meeting held yesterday.

USET Foundation Receives $1.5 Million Gift: Naming Hamilton Farm Rotunda "The Joan and Corwith Hamill Rotunda"

Gladstone, NJ - December 11, 2014 - The United States Equestrian Team Foundation is pleased to announce the naming of the Hamilton Farm Rotunda "The Joan and Corwith Hamill Rotunda". Their commitment to equestrian sport began in the 1950s, when Joan was an integral part of the transition of the USET from the U.S. Army to civilians. This naming is made possible through a generous gift of $1.5 Million made to the Gladstone Fund by the The Hamill Family Foundation.

Chicago Equestrians for a Cause Celebrates Giving Tuesday With Presentation of Funds to Three Charities

Antioch, IL - December 6, 2014 - Members of Chicago Equestrians for a Cause (CEC) met on Giving Tuesday to present gifts to their three charities totaling $150,000. The funds were raised through the Chicago Hunter Derby presented by Canadian Pacific, which took place in September. The premier Chicago Hunter Derby at Annali-Brookwood Farm featured the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby sponsored by Canadian Pacific and the $5,000 National Hunter Derby sponsored by Sapphire Riding Academy.

The Dressage Foundation's Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund Awards $8,000 To Adult Amateur Riders

(December 9, 2014) - The Dressage Foundation is proud to announce this year's recipients of the Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund Scholarships for Adult Amateurs.  Each will receive a $1,000 Scholarship to enable them to set aside quality time in concentrated training with their horse, trainer of choice, and away from the daily pressures of job and family.
