August 29, 2014 – The Dressage Foundation has announced that new grants will be available for young dressage professionals through the Karen Skvarla Fund. This Fund was established by Diane Skvarla, in memory of her sister, Karen.
The Harrison Family's scenic Double H Farm in Ridgefield, CT, will host a special charity event on September 13 to honor philanthropist Anne Heyman, who founded the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda for children orphaned by the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsis. Heyman tragically passed away this winter following a fall from her horse while competing in Wellington at the age of 52. 'Anne's Night' will feature dinner, fantastic entertainment, and a one-of-a-kind live auction to raise money to support and continue Heyman's important work with the youth of Rwanda.

New York, NY - August 27 - The Jump for Hope, a fundraising event for the Equestrian Aid Foundation, will take place on Friday, September 19th at HAUS nightclub in New York City. The event will coincide with the Central Park Horse Show, presented by Rolex, which will draw an international equestrian crowd from around the world.
Temperance, MI - August 27, 2014 - Scott Alder of Temperance, MI with Stoney Ridge Farm and the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association, have arranged to have the legendary George H. Morris judge their 2014 Medal Finals and give a three-day USHJA Trainer Certification clinic. The show features the medal championships for all levels and will be held August 29-31, 2014 with the clinic and USHJA Trainer Certification following on September 1-3, 2014 at Hunter's Run Stables.

Three athlete-and-horse combinations will be selected from the following five Nominated Entries to compete as the U.S. Team at the Championships on September 24-28 in Izsak, Hungary (in alphabetical order):

Bridgehampton, NY, Aug. 24, 2014-Patricia Griffith, riding Black Label, won the $50,000 Clear Channel Hunter Derby, presented by Meadow View Farm, on The Atlantic Opening Day at the Hampton Classic.
Black Label scored a total of 179 points over the two rounds to defeat Carrico (Callie Seaman, 171) and Pioneer (Victoria Colvin, 165). Some 30 horses started in the first round, with the top 12 returning for the second round.
