Sharon White announced this morning, Oct. 10, that she was withdrawing Under Suspection from the Military Boekelo CCIO*** (the Netherlands.) White and “Pippy” were scheduled to ride their dressage test today at 3:41 p.m.

“Unfortunately Pippy has not quite been herself since arriving at Boekelo, so we have decided it is in her best interest to withdraw from the competition,” said White on her Facebook page. “It’s very disappointing, but Pippy is getting the best care possible, and we will be cheering extra hard for Tiana, Clark and Liz!”

White was on a U.S. team in the CCIO with Tiana Coudray (Kinnordy Rivaldo), Clark Montgomery (Loughan Glen) and Liz Halliday (Fernhill By Night).

Pippy is a 10-year-old Holsteiner mare (Contender—Naomagic I, Exorbitant) owned by Mary Ann Ghadban. She was previously competed by Germany’s Dirk Schrade to the two-star level, and White began riding her in 2013. The pair has amassed top 10 placings at several three-stars this year, finishing fourth at the Jersey Fresh CCI*** (N.J.) in May and second in the Richland Park CIC*** (Mich.) in August.

White and the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team veterinarians are working to make a plan for Pippy to return to top form.
