Wellington, FL – March 7, 2011- The World Dressage Masters Palm Beach presented by International Polo Club Palm Beach, which gets under way this week, March 9-11 2011, at the Jim Brandon Center includes a number of the world’s top riders and their horses. The World Dressage Masters presented by Axel Johnson Group, will award more than 400,000 Euros over four competitions in 2011, making it the world’s richest dressage series. The first of those competitions is the WDM Palm Beach, where 18 competitors, including several Olympic and World Championship medalists, will vie for 100,000 Euros in prize money.  Recently, Wellington Equestrian Realty agreed to share their support for WDM by becoming the exclusive Farm and Residential Realtors for this fabulous event and support its tradition in Palm Beach.

Identical twins Chris & Rob Desino may be new to the Wellington area, but these experienced real estate professionals live and breathe the equestrian lifestyle. Chris and Rob got their riding bugs like most as young kids growing up in Rochester, NY. While in college, they were National rowing champions and went on to compete on the US National Rowing Team. After their rowing careers, Rob and Chris started and developed a successful chain of restaurants that grew around the upstate New York. They subsequently sold the chain to pursue their real passions: riding horses and selling horse farms.

The Desinos started Ocala Horse Properties, which is the leading farm sales company in Ocala, FL. The big sister company, which is also owned by Rob & Chris, benefits its Wellington counterpart with a long history of unmatchable advertising budgets, an outstanding reputation, strong relationships with trainers, and a proven formula for unparalleled success. One of the biggest benefits of this relationship is that Ocala Horse Properties often has buyers who want to purchase a Wellington horse farm; this is an excellent way for them to channel these buyers to Wellington Equestrian Realty.

Matt Varney, along with Chris Desino, heads up the sales at Wellington Equestrian Realty. Varney is an accomplished real estate professional who started his career in residential site construction and estimating before switching over to working for a large, privately held FL based residential developer. He enjoys riding recreationally and satisfies his equestrian competiveness by living vicariously through his wife, Courtney Varney, DVM, who is a practicing equine veterinarian and competitive dressage rider.

“Our company is of course thrilled to be sponsoring the World Dressage Masters,” commented Matt Varney.

“But , really as fans of the sport, we are more excited to simply watch some of the best Dressage in the world come right here to Palm Beach.”

The WDM Palm Beach, held at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, is produced by Wellington Classic Dressage. Noreen O’Sullivan, a Managing Partner with Wellington Classic Dressage, is excited to welcome such an impressive international line up to South Florida. “We’re thrilled to host this competition and to have riders and horses of this caliber coming to the World Dressage Masters Palm Beach,” noted O’Sullivan.   “We want people to feel treated to a truly international experience.”
