Lexington, KY- The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) is pleased to announce Dietrich Equine Insurance as the Presenting Sponsor for 2011 USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals.

Each year since 2009 the top 75 horses, on the money won qualifying list from across the country are invited to compete for the prestigious title of Champion and vie for a share of the $100,000 purse at the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals. The fan base of this event grows with every new season, helped greatly by committed sponsors such as Dietrich Equine Insurance. Spectators coming to the Kentucky Horse Park for the event will enjoy three rounds of competition, beginning with the Qualifying Round in which all 75 horses compete. The top 25 competitors (including those tied for 25th place) will advance to the Classic Hunter Round which features classic hunter type jumps. The top 12 from the Classic Hunter Round will then move into the Handy Hunter Round. This final course will simulate a hunt, composed of handy options such as tight turns and clever jump options.
