USEF Announces Developing Dressage Competition And Training Grants

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has named the recipients of 2016 USEF Developing Dressage Program Competition and Training Grants. The grants are part of the program's mission to build the depth of upcoming talented combinations in the United States.

Barbara "Bebe" Davis of Wellington, Fla., received a European competition grant with Arl Antonia's Equestricon's Carrera, a 2000 Hungarian Warmblood mare. Davis plans to ride at the CDI-U25 in Compiegne, France, May 19-22, and the CDI-U25 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, June 22-26.

The following athletes received training grants:

  • Genay Vaughn (Elk Grove, Calif.) with Starr Vaughn Equestrian, Inc.’s Donarweiss GGF, a 2001 Hanoverian stallion
  • Ayden Uhlir (Carlsbad, Calif.) with her own Sjapoer, a 1999 Dutch Warmblood gelding
  • Sierra Keasler (Wellington, Fla.) with Caroline Roffman’s Lux Stensvang, a 2002 Danish Warmblood gelding

The USEF Developing Dressage Program is led by Debbie McDonald and supported by Akiko Yamazaki and Red Husky Foundation.
