Vero Beach, Florida: The Professional Riders Organization and the PRO Junior board is very pleased to announce that Triple Crown Nutrition is returning as the title and presenting sponsor for the Triple Crown JYR Scholarship Program, which takes place at training level, and the Prelim to PRO Team Series program which is geared to preliminary level riders who are looking for a introductory team experience.
“Triple Crown Nutrition has been an incredible partner for the last four years,” said Marcia Kulak, who founded the PRO Junior Program in 2011. “Their support for juniors and young riders has been extraordinary, and their commitment to helping educate the next generation of event riders has really been second to none.”
“All of us at Triple Crown Nutrition continue to be impressed by the commitment and talent we see in these young riders,” said Michelle Mulcahy of Triple Crown Nutrition. “As the programs evolve, we have more opportunities to get to know the PRO Juniors, which makes our investment that much more rewarding.”
World Equestrian Brands is also returning as the prize sponsor for both junior programs and a Prelim to PRO Team Sponsor. Additionally, Furlong’s Healthy Horse and SSG Riding Gloves are joining World Equestrian Brands as team sponsors for the Prelim to PRO Team Series in 2016.
“Furlong’s Healthy Horse was founded on the premise that clients and vets form an active partnership as part of the ‘team’ that cares for each horse,” said Adam Furlong, Vice President of FHH. “With so much information readily available on the internet, it is really important to us to help educate and develop the future generation of event riders in the United States so that they understand the process and importance of teamwork and how that benefits your horse’s overall health and wellbeing.”
The Prelim to PRO Team Series, presented by Triple Crown Nutrition, introduces juniors and young riders to a team experience at the CIC1* level. Participating riders can qualify for the Prelim to PRO CIC1* Team Final at Plantation Field International, September 15-18, 2016 at the preliminary level by achieving a qualifying score at one of three qualifying events. Carolina International March 24-27 is the first event in the qualifying series.
The Triple Crown JYR PRO Scholarship Program uses the same qualifying events on the East Coast and has additional events for West Coast competitors. Both programs emphasize horsemanship and education with seminars and online PRO University content covering topics in veterinary care, equine nutrition and tack fitting.
Ashley Leith, PRO Junior Programs Director, and Team Manager Kathleen Blauth will coordinate both programs. The Triple Crown JYR PRO Scholarship is available on both the East and West Coasts while the Prelim to PRO Team Series is only open to riders on the East Coast. Prizes include brand ambassadorships for selected sponsors, an Amerigo Saddle, girth and leathers and Vespucci Bridles provided by World Equestrian Brands.
