Totilas Sets Third World Record In 2009 At Olympia

The superhorse of the Netherlands has done it again with another world record-breaking performance. On Dec. 16, Moorlands Totilas and Edward Gal beat their own astonishing scores for the third time this year at the Olympia CDI-W (England) to win on 92.30 percent.

The 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion has gone from strength to strength, starting with his first world record at the Exquis World Dressage Masters competition at Hickstead, England, on July 26. He scored 89.40 percent in the freestyle there.

The superhorse of the Netherlands has done it again with another world record-breaking performance. On Dec. 16, Moorlands Totilas and Edward Gal beat their own astonishing scores for the third time this year at the Olympia CDI-W (England) to win on 92.30 percent.

The 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion has gone from strength to strength, starting with his first world record at the Exquis World Dressage Masters competition at Hickstead, England, on July 26. He scored 89.40 percent in the freestyle there.

He went on to break his own record at the Alltech FEI European Championships (England) in August with 90.75 percent in the freestyle and another record score in the Grand Prix (84.08%). Gal and “Toto” went home with individual gold and silver medals and team gold for the Netherlands.

Gal is aiming for the FEI World Cup Dressage Final at s’Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, in March and then he’ll look towards Kentucky for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
