Friday was another good day in Gothenburg! We got a chance to sleep in a bit after several early mornings. I had breakfast with my parents, and we all watched the movie The Terminal at their hotel.
I rode both horses around noon—Cylana was very relaxed and felt ready for today. Then I went straight to the gym for a good workout. After I finished I went to lunch with my parents, the Bond family and Kaylen Spooner. Around 4:30 I headed back to the show.
I started reading my new book, Special Topics in Calamity Physics, in the stands and so far it is quite good. After a group picture we walked the course. It was significantly bigger than yesterday.

I was the first clear round for the Americans, along with Beezie Madden and McLain Ward. The course was technical enough with a lot of blind turns and bending lines. I had one light rail in the jump-off, and I head into the final in 10th! Not bad for my first World Cup Final! Beezie is in second and McLain is tied for sixth.
After we finished I took my parents to a fantastic restaurant I went to earlier this week on the water. We had a great dinner, and then I joined some friends for the rider party! I don’t show tomorrow as Goose [Ligist] hasn’t seemed up to it this week, and I don’t want to push him when he isn’t feeling well…
So now I wait for the final!!!
