For 30 years, Great Meadow has been the permanent home of the prestigious Virginia Gold Cup.  On July 26-27, Great Meadow will host one of the most significant events for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team: the final preparation trials for the top horses and rider combinations who will represent the U.S. at the upcoming Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.

Recently, Great Meadow’s 200-acre park was nearly doubled in size to develop a world-class facility that can host a variety of USET high performance sport horse disciplines.

Together with this newly purchased parcel, Great Meadow will feature a large, all-weather arena, CIC3* cross-country course with irrigated footing, and ample space for sponsor, patron, and spectator activities.
As a kick-off to this next prestigious chapter of Great Meadow, Olympian David O’Connor, U.S. Eventing Team Coach, has named Great Meadow as the site of the WEG preparation trials.
