Wellington, Florida – The unique SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion returns to the Winter Equestrian Festival for the fifth year, offering $60,000 in bonus money to riders throughout the 12-week competition running January 7 through March 29, 2015, in Wellington, FL.

Based on the overwhelming success of the innovative sponsorship promotion, SSG Riding Gloves will once again offer bonus money in the weekly Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Series, the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, and the Sleepy P High Junior Jumper Classic competitions.  If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible, they will be presented with a bonus during the awards presentation.

For the weekly Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Series held each Thursday, a $3,000 bonus will be awarded to the winning rider if they wear SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible in the first round of competition and subsequent jump-off.

For the weekly Sleepy P Ranch High Junior Jumper Classic and the weekly High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, a bonus of $1,000 will be awarded to the winning rider if they wear SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible in the first round of competition and subsequent jump-off.

“The concept of rewarding the riders with a cash bonus was something that I felt would be interesting for the sport of show jumping, and the 12-week Winter Equestrian Festival provided the perfect venue to execute it,” said Ed James, President of SSG Gloves.  “The ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotional bonus is contingent on the riders wearing our product, and we hope that those who participate will enjoy being rewarded for their loyalty.”

Bonuses will be given directly to the winning rider during the awards presentation in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature jump by Ed James and/or SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion manager Jennifer Ward of Starting Gate Communications Inc.

“In developing a sponsorship program for our client, SSG Gloves, we wanted to take an innovative approach and find a unique way to reward competitors for their loyalty to the SSG Gloves brand,” said Jennifer Ward, President of Starting Gate Communications Inc.  “To our knowledge, an incentive promotion had never been done before in equestrian sport, and the concept proved to be wildly successful.  Five years later, the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion is as popular as ever and has added a fun new dynamic to the sport.”

SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers.
