The U.S. Equestrian Federation announced that Caroline Roffman, Wellington, Fla., has been awarded a Dutta Corp. sponsored flight to compete and train in Europe. Roffman will ride Sagacious HF in the FEI U-25 Division at various European CDI competitions.
Roffman, 24, has gained a reputation in the United States as a rising dressage star, with multiple national championships and five medals from the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships. Additionally, Roffman was awarded the Fiona Baan Memorial Trophy for the highest placed rider at the NAJYRC and the FEI Rising Star Award in 2010. Roffman recently helped the U.S. team secure a victory at the Wellington Nations Cup CDIO (Fla.) at the beginning of April.

Roffman has been working with her 14-year-old partner, “Kitty,” since last July. The Dutch Warmblood gelding is owned by Hyperion Farm and earned team gold and individual silver with former rider Lauren Sammis at the 2007 Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro.
As part of a new sponsorship agreement with the USEF, the Dutta Corp. will provide travel for two dressage horses for the 2013 and 2014 competition years. Shipping for two dressage horses will be awarded based on which combinations the committee believes will benefit most from European exposure.
