Rockbridge Regional Fair July 20-23, 2011

Four days of old fashioned fun are in store at the 2011 Rockbridge Regional Fair Wednesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 23.  Deggeller returns this year with new rides and exhibits which will be featured along with new activities like Tactical Laser Tag, Go-Karts, an Interactive Ag Barn and Interactive History Barn, where kids can have hands-on experiences with farm animals and history.  Throughout the fair, visitors can peruse the Flea Market around the concourse of the Anderson Coliseum. Each night will feature different and exciting musical performances.

Four days of old fashioned fun are in store at the 2011 Rockbridge Regional Fair Wednesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 23.  Deggeller returns this year with new rides and exhibits which will be featured along with new activities like Tactical Laser Tag, Go-Karts, an Interactive Ag Barn and Interactive History Barn, where kids can have hands-on experiences with farm animals and history.  Throughout the fair, visitors can peruse the Flea Market around the concourse of the Anderson Coliseum. Each night will feature different and exciting musical performances.

Day activities on Wednesday-Friday include 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitions, art, horticulture, and quilt exhibits, food and craft contests.  Carnival rides, bingo, laser tag, go-karts, and pony rides begin at 5pm Wednesday-Friday and at noon on Saturday. The Southern States All-Breed Horse Show and Interactive Ag-Barn and History Barn will run Friday and Saturday.  Also featured on Saturday are the SPCA Pet Show, the Kids’ Tractor Pedal Pull, and the Barnyard Olympics.

When night falls, visitors can enjoy music each night in the Anderson Coliseum from 7:30-10:30pm.  A Karaoke contest will kick things off on Wednesday, followed by performances by Gary Ruley and Mule Train and City Limits on Thursday evening, a family friendly performance with Right On Band Friday night, and Virginia Dreams Center Stage and T. Graham Brown rounding out the bill on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the door for performances on Friday and Saturday.

With something for everyone, the volunteers, staff, supporting businesses, and partners, encourage the community to make the trip for what promises to be the best Rockbridge Regional Fair yet!
