Prize List Now Available For Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show

Katy, TX - January 25, 2011 - The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show is pleased to announce that the prize list for their 2011 hunter/jumper event is now available. This prestigious horse show will feature a full week of 'AA' hunter competition as well as a full schedule of top jumper action. The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is held April 5-10, 2011, at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. Katy, TX – January 25, 2011 – The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show is pleased to announce that the prize list for their 2011 hunter/jumper event is now available. This prestigious horse show will feature a full week of ‘AA’ hunter competition as well as a full schedule of top jumper action. The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is held April 5-10, 2011, at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. This year’s Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show will feature $280,000 in total prize money through out the competition and benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Produced by P.J.C.P. This year’s top highlights will include the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby on Saturday, April 9, 2011, and the $25,000 Spring Gathering Grand Prix to be held Sunday, April 10, 2011.The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show will also include a $25,000 Pre-Green Classic, and a $20,000 National Hunter Derby. There is a full line-up of hunter competition ranging from the High Performance Hunter division to the Short Stirrup Hunter division. The wide variety of jumper classes includes Pony Jumpers, Young Jumpers, and the $10,000 Spring Gathering Welcome Stake.Junior riders that wish to qualify for one of the 2011 medal final competitions will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in the Pessoa/USEF National Hunter Seat Medal, ASPCA Horsemanship Class, Equisport Insurance/USEF Pony Medal Class, Ariat National Adult Medal, THIS National Children’s Medal, WIHS Pony Medal, and WIHS Equitation Medal.This event is also a World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) recognized hunter competition. The WCHR is an awards program started by the American Hunter-Jumper Foundation, and the awards are presented, on both a national and regional level, to Pony, Junior, Amateur, Professional, Adult and Children’s hunter riders who accumulate the most points at WCHR designated horse shows throughout the year.The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show is looking forward to a very successful event in 2011.
