Wellington, FL – February 17, 2014 – The CSIO Wellington, Nations Cup Night is just a few weeks away, and the United States is calling on all fans to show their support by pledging donations for clear rounds jumped by U.S. team riders. This year pledges to support Team USA can be made with online pledge donations.

On Friday, February 28, the United States Equestrian Team Foundation and the United States Equestrian Federation will kick off the festivities with a TEAM USA Nations Cup Pep Rally Reception.  The Pep Rally will be held just prior to the Nations Cup, running from 6-7pm in the “USA” section of the Special Events Pavilion at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The United States team of Brianne Goutal, Laura Kraut, Beezie Madden and McLain Ward will be a force to be reckoned with, as they proudly represent all of us on the international stage. All proceeds will go towards the Show Jumping High Performance program and the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.

“Nations Cup night is the perfect occasion for all those that love show jumping, and being able to offer the opportunity for many more fans to participate in pledging support for clear rounds is really exciting” expressed USET Foundation Executive Director Bonnie Jenkins. “We will have a great team of talented riders and horses led by U.S. Show Jumping Chef d’ Equipe, Robert Ridland. The USET Foundation is proud to be part of this special night in partnership with the USEF and hope that everyone will come out and cheer ‘Team USA’ on to victory.”

The reception festivities will also include the awarding of the TEAM USA Poster Contest winners, and the introduction of the United States Children’s, Junior and Young Rider Nations Cup teams who will compete on Saturday, March 1.
