HARRISBURG, PA – October 28, 2015 – The Pennsylvania National Horse Show Association today announced that president, Liz Shorb has announced her decision to retire, starting an orderly leadership transition.  Shorb’s decision to retire will bring to a close over twenty years of service to the show.

“Liz Shorb has been a very strong leader, and one who has successfully managed the Association through some challenging times and transitions,” said Tom Bross, chairman of the board. “The board is grateful for her innumerable contributions and dedication to the show and pleased that she will be available as an advisor after retiring.”

Shorb was responsible for the establishment of the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization which uses proceeds from the show to award grants to equine programs.  She is also responsible for bringing recipients to the show to highlight their programs.

I have made lifelong friends and appreciate the all the support over the years for both me personally and for the show.”

The board of directors will establish a search committee to choose Shorb’s successor and in the meantime will put a transition team in place.
